Loud sonic boom shook the house. I was wtf then just guessed it was space x. Was probably a great visual.
It was!
I just left for work at 5:20, heading west and I see this orange flame in the sky. It was still dark and the full moon was to the left. I didn’t know what it was but after a minute, I figured it was a SpaceX launch. Then it must have gone behind some clouds because it disappeared. I thought something not good might have happened but a minute later I see the white-blue jet blast that I’m used to seeing and the primary boosters coming back down. I tried to get a picture, but there was too much light pollution from the street lights.

I stood in the water on a beach on Astronaut Blvd to watch a launch @ Cape Canaveral on March 24th. After watching/filming it take off I'm walking away and a local comes barrelling through on a bike yelling get ready for the boom, get ready for the boom! I thought he was crazy. It was like 9 minutes later & BOOM! He says. I'm a local so I know about this shit LOL. Pretty cool to watch up close but I really would like to get on base to watch. Apparently you can get tickets to do it.

We watched with the grandkids from the backyard. Not alot visible and wish it was a later launch as it's super clear now. They really liked watching the booster land back at the pad on the big screen.

The Starship launches are on another level. Worth the trip from Houston to Port Isabelle. Hopefully later this month.

No view from Havasu
1st stage separation was easier to see especially with it falling back to earth
Landing on the pad also had better video
Amazing everytime that big tube can fall so fast and land within a circle
