Pool filter housing is about 15 years old and has sprung a leak!

Do it yourself. Very easy to do. I just switched from a cartridge type filter system to an DE filter.
Pool has never looked better.

Also a great time to add a union close to your pump, if it doesn't already have one.

I just might but I need to find the filter housing first. I thought it would be 6 to 8 hundred for the parts but I was way off on the quote we just got, almost 2300 installed!!!

I bought this one, I think it was $1000?, buy the back flush valve if you don't have one.
My pool is under 19k gallons.

Glenridge pool supply Monrovia. I think it was $1k, not $650.

Bought it 18 months ago.

Im pretty confident a hayward de6020 new, was not purchased for 1000 Especially from a pool store. closer to 1500 is distribution cost. And another 100 for valve
installed total would be 1850.00 range

a 520 cartridge filter would be 1650.00 range

would need pics to verify what’s needed for install
