Tuff just revealed the first run of their new 32 cat. In usual Tuff fashion it’s fast, 116 mph with twin 300s.

Pretty sick looking boat. There was just one small clip but the cockpit/driver seat looks tight. It looked like his knees were touching the dash

Windshield is cheap. Everything is warped looking through it.

They said it topped out at 116. In the video, it looks like they're cruising at 114.

Interesting it's not the widebody everyone else seems to be going to.

You got that from the above video?
You can see through it close to the end when it's facing you. Love the boat but, who should spend that kind of money to look through a distorted windshield.

There isn't a boat out there with a formed windshield that doesn't have some bit of distortion. The shitty f16 style that came from the west coast are some of the very worst.

It's not easy for Mark to get a pile of props to test, hopefully he can get it stateside somewhere and get a selection of wheels to throw at it.

Wider than 48" maybe?

I don't know if there's a given definition.
I view it as wider than 102”, which is what most cats were built to up until recently. Wider than that you technically need a permit to tow.

I assume it must be measured by between sponson width?

It would be the outside of the sponsons or the widest part of the boat.

But sponsons themselves are of different width.

Two cats of same trailerable width might differ sponson-to-sponson width.

That’s true, there is no real definition of wide body. The general direction cats are going these days are low wide tunnels, vs the OG skaters and the like, with more narrow taller tunnels.

This Tuff seems to be wide and tall judging by the article.
