beach boys live..surfer girl................reminds of when i met my wife 39 yrs ago

… I just finished Brian Wilson’s biography published in 1991… Prior to that I read Mike Loves biography published in 2016… Talk about the war over millions and millions of dollars… And all the mental health issues Brian Wilson has been through … These surfer boys make the Rolling Stones look like angels when it comes to legal issues…

I've known of this song for awhile. Knew it was a cover and thought it was some creative writing. I shit you not it's a true story. Look up Willie the Wimp on google.

Heard this on Sirius this morning on the way to work. Haven’t heard it for a while. Had to finish listening to it in the parking lot.
Anyway I always picture this when I hear this. 🤘🤘

Listening to The Cure on my new-to-me CD player. Oldschool 1990 Onkyo, dual DAC, 18-bit, a nice, sought-after unit I found for $18 at the Goodwill online.

I have my core "stack" system complete. Except for the ginormous feet on the Onkyo Cd player; they look out of place. All the equalizers added a certain amount of hiss to the system, so I opted not to use one. But I can't get away from the flashy volume meters/spectrum analyzer of the 1980ish Numark EQ, so I put a signal to it just so I can watch the chiny lights dance up and down. And, it's just a cool piece.

600 watts pushing 4 4-ohm monitors. Sounds great and plenty loud.

It was a fun build during the pandemic, but the State said on April 18 we are returning to the office 2-days per week...so the party is partially over, lol. But I'm excited to make it back to DTLA.

Currently researching how to repair all the CD's that were trashed on river trips. 😃

Saw them play last night and twice today.

Love them.

Looking forward to seeing them tomorrow.
Huh?

Checking them out now....guitar player is wearing a Mazzy Star shirt, so they have good taste.

Always mixed them back-to-back with The Darling Buds (back in the day).

And usually The Primitives too.

… A song from the second of three unpromoted/unreleased albums by Douglas Fontaine Brown… A long story on this album that was produced by Paul Rothschild the Doors and Janis Joplin fame…
… The bottom line and the end of this band happened when one of the band members girlfriends got caught giving a BJ to one of the other band members… I met this chick …she was trouble… Told me I was possessed… One misplaced BJ and this band was through…
… The bass player on this album was Paul Rothchild’s son Dan Rothchild… who played bass for Heart from 2012 to I think 2019…
