Love this song but can’t help think about what happened at the Station club in 2003 whenever I hear Great White.

Saw them film the 'Once Bitten Twice Shy' video at Raincross Square.

Starting a little early tonight. Got crock pot sweet and sour pork simmering.
Me and wifey both starting a full work week tomorrow after time off.
Fuck work. Can’t wait for October.

Papa Roach?
I saw them at a very intimate (like 500 people maybe) venue here in Vacaville a few years ago.
I was front and center. Jacoby was flinging sweat on me.

Ok ok i admit. I just sat down and the grammys are on.
Brandi Carlisle just performed. She makes the rest in that building sound like shit.
She opened for pearl jam last October and blew us away.

I wanted to watch my usual PGA golf tournament like I always do on Sundays but my local NBC affiliate thought 24-7 coverage of the Sacramento shooting was more important.

Talk about a past from mid 90’s. 😳
Like these guys...but probably one of the most boring, lamest show I've been to. Saw them way back at The Palace in Hollywood. Hard to sound bad there.

Great guitar player. Some songs like this one really good. Some …meh. But awesome guitar player.
X2, I've never gotten into Satriani or any other similar types.

Except for surf music....

The Duo-Tones are local guys and their CD "Surf Music Unplugged" is radical.

Lol and similarly, seen Tears for Fears several times and it's always lame. Taking a hard pass on the current tour, Garbage will outshine them. I hear Steeley Dan also sucks in concert.

In HS I drove a crappy 64' Rambler with a straight 6, I swear it had less than 50 hp, lol.

But one thing it did have was a kick ass Alpine stereo and Dio and the Scorpions were my favorite cassettes. Subwoofers weren't on the scene yet, if you wanted bass, you had to install a shit ton of 6X9's. A copy giving me a ticket once scolded me, said I had a "wall of death" in the back window. I was like, "RAD!"

My old girlfriends all remember the Scorpions. 6x9s behind the seat in my mini truck.

Wow I miss those times.

Yeah, I like them too. But I can see how you can say that about them being boring. I really liked the first album all the way through.

Found a couple of CD's at a thrift store for $1 each, including Bjork and the Sugar Cubes.

Great compilation, they were a cool band.

Cool OMD tune. We'll probably go see them when they roll into town.

It's been just over two years since David Roback died. Bummer.

Melancholy for sure - but hey, some people lives are not made of sunshine and rainbows.

I remember when they first splashed on the scene and they were on KROQ pushing Fade Into You and Jed the Fish was being a total dick to Hope. Talking shit on her about how her shyness and reclusive demeanor was an act...

I was going to school in London when the first single came out.

The music press was crazy. LOL

Went to a pre-release listening party and was blown away.

Damn dude, that must have been awesome. Something about her nuttiness that makes her hubba hubba. We share similar music tastes. 👍

Okay so what's going on here...what's the theme?

I heard Angel Baby earlier this evening and thought damn, what's it like...

Delta Dawn? Really?
Reminds me of 74 or so. I was 10. 😁

Tanya Tucker was 13 (in 1972)
Rosei Hamlin was 15 (in 1960)
Debbie Gibson was kinda old...17 in 1987

You ever watch Hee Haw?

Babes galore, including Barbie Benton.

But here, one of the most beautiful women ever...Jessi...loyal to Waylon until the end, and even after.

Just shows how far society has declined since . . . .
Back when things were right . . .

Man, that's a blast from the past, haven't heard that one in, I dunno, 45-years, my pops would play it.

Your comment about society reminded me of a hugely popular 60's song that begs the question - are we really that different, today?

I was like "Whoa" when i heard this one a few years back.

For those following along, read the lyrics.

When I worked in LA I had two cassette's I would listen to on the ride home that would chill me out. I listened to them like every night, lol. Orbison's greatest hits and Phantom of the Opera.

Anyhow, any Orbison fans? His lyrics and the stories he told were spot on. I'm sure we've all been there, done that on these two...
