Damn dude, that must have been awesome. Something about her nuttiness that makes her hubba hubba. We share similar music tastes. 👍

Was a great time. So many great shows (and near riots [JAMC]).

And then I'd come home for the summer to Mpls and the Suburbs, Replacements, Husker Du, etc.

Downhill ever since.

So this came out 4-5 years ago. Heavy Sirius rotation. Wasn’t impressed.
Anyway just watched the video and it’s a pretty cool jam.

Godsmack is from Lawrence Massachusetts. Lawrence is right at the border of New Hampshire. We pretty much drive through their home town everytime we travel from Logan to our kids place in Concord NH.
Love Godsmack but have a reason to love them more now. 🤘

As much Priest I post I’m kind of embarrassed this one hasn’t made the cut too often.
Bad ass for sure. 🤘🤘

The good ol days. Too bad the audio wasn’t a little better back then.

I know not the first time I’ve posted this one but it’s what I’m listening to now, in headphones, while I’m posting.

Any other Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music fans? Ferry is so cool.

Once again, takes a great song and performs a better cover than the original, just like he did with Lennon's Jealous Guy.

So I read a great article about subwoofers.

Using a sub, ever notice how you can never tell from what direction the bass is coming from?

That's due to the soundwaves and the low bass frequencies put out by subs. Apparently, humans can pinpoint the same low frequencies outdoors, but all bets are off when the same frequencies are played indoors.

Because of this, a good subwoofer can be placed anywhere inside the room. And you only need one. If you can tell/hear where bass is coming from using a sub - it's a crappy one.

Didn't know that.

I have two crappy 8" home theater subs (Energy). The reason they mostly suck is because of their boominess. If I turn them up, it sounds like they're farting out of their ports!

Looking for that elusive 15" Cerwin Vega stereo sub (not a "HTS" home theater sub).

Another outstanding Ferry cover....this time, Neil Young's Like a Hurricane.

Tough call on this one, but I gotta go with Young for the win.

Iggy is awesome, but it's the guitar work starting at 4:00 that makes this a great version.

Something about big guys, or buff guys, playing lead guitar though...just looks funky. Think James Young from Styx, or Brad Gillis from Night Ranger. Gillis, rocks though, he stepped into Rhodes shoes shortly after the plane crash and did a smokin' job...

Anyways, Iggy and his kick ass dual leads

People talk about Grohl losing his bandmates, but it happened to Hynde back in 81'.

Hynde, Chambers and James Honeyman-Scott fired bassist Pete Farndon for too much drug use...only to see Honeyman-Scott die two days later from heart failure due to cocaine intolerance. Then Farndon died of an overdose. Honeyman-Scott was a trailblazing guitarist, it would have been great to see how he he evolved.

Hynde is the best female rocker, period, and achieved most of her commercial success after the deaths of her two bandmates. Love this chick. Saw her at US Festival but I want to see her again before she calls it quits.

Tommy Shaw is a great musician but he’s liberal as fuck.
Anyway I rocked Styx, among others a lot back then. Class of 82.

Love this one.
Brent is a great vocalist but I’m sure he wouldn’t be great with out Zack on the guitar next to him.

Me and the boys, thought we had it sussed
Valentino's; all of us
My dad said we looked ridiculous
But boy we broke some hearts

This song was the epitome of my adolescent years. Who else?

I graduated in 84' and by that time was immersed in New Wave, and shortly thereafter, oldschool freestyle/funk/disco.

We went to either Licorice Pizza, or The Warehouse, and bought some records. I bought the "Age of Consent." My buds and I had seen the vids and figured the story out.

On the ride home my friend cracked the record open and the album sleeve was covered with gay themed photos.

My other bud grabbed the record out of his hands and chucked it out of the window of his faded gold Plymouth Duster.

Sign of the times, back then.

The 9-minute studio version is the best version, but this reprise is pretty good too.

I imagine Jimmy endured some shiat in his lifetime; redhead, gay and pint-sized. Ouch.

Bryan Ferry, Billy Idol, and Cy Curnin (The Fixx) were offered this song, but passed. DOH! 😭

Belfast Child is one of their better songs...
