Man, what a whirlwind of a week. We had a horse go south starting Easter weekend.
Discovered there's a shortage of mobile horse vets and their idea of an "emergency" is simply returning calls after a day, only to tell you the quickest they can be out is another 3-5 days. W-T-F
Then while having ups and downs with the horse, this happened:

Returned to the State office. DTLA is kind of like a scene from the Walking Dead these days...many of the food joints closed permanently, and it's only sparsely populated. I can see why people say DTLA is littered with homeless; because it is. But that's mainly because the majority of regular people have not returned to their offices.
Horse vet made it out Thursday, told us to give the old man some meds and he will be fine. Friday the horse was not doing well, so I texted the vet, called her EMERGENCY, I NEED YOUR HELP. Crickets. Saturday morning we found him dead. To this day she still hasn't responded. The horse dying was not her fault, we knew if he lost his legs he was done, and that's what happened.
Here's looking to a more positive week 2 in DTLA...
That sucks man. RIP Mr Horse.
Horses go south quick.
