That guys are doing on intake manifolds that looks polished? It's not clear powdercoat, I've heard of ceramic coating, but I thought there was a new coating that looks just like polished. Anyone know?

That is a clear that chemically bonds to prevent corrosion. Very cool stuff. It will protect a polish but it isn't a colored coating like Bob is talking about.

It didn't change the look very much.

I think you are talking about a vacuum deposition process called "Perma Star". This may be what Edelbrock uses . Info at Goodrich Technology. Several years back some NorCal v-drive guys were talking about trying it out since Goodrich is up here in the East Bay area. Don't know if anyone ever did, though.
