Your channels changing slowly on DirecTV?

If your DTV channels are changing slowly here's the fix:

Go to channel 1.
Once the page is operating including audio, use the remote and press the colored buttons quickly in this order: Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Yellow, Green

This must be done quickly otherwise the yellow press will bring up a quick options menu.

You will see a message displayed saying the NVRAM/Flash is cleared in the lower left of your tv screen.

I saw this and remembered a code for the game Contra (OG nintendo) from the 80's to get ulimited lives!

Channel was changing slow on our main tv/DTV with DVR but normal on 4 other sets....tried this on the slow one just now and it actually fixed it...

I've got FIOS for internet in La Verne. Still have DirecTv for TV though. But I do not own any HD TV's...yet. The TV downstairs is starting to go and as soon as I dies I'll go buy a new HD TV and look into switching over to FIOS for TV as well.

Two reasons for me:
1. Have DirecTV in the toy hauler
2. After the "trial period" of teaser rates ends, FiOS would cost me a little more than DirecTV due to the equipment rental costs...we have 4 (soon to be 5) set-top boxes.

Been with them since 1994.
Grandfathered in for East/West Coast Feeds = Primetime 3 hours early.
Sunday Ticket = Only provider to carry it.
Bring my boxes to the river, so I don't have to pay for service out there.
I have FIOS at home for phone and internet.

We save at least 50 bucks a month using all of FIOS services. Package deals are great, and the HD is soooo much better than Direct TV, it aint even funny.

I dont watch TV anywhere else besides home, and i hardly watch it here!

No FIOS in Havasu or at Havasu Palms....only way to get full programming at 2 locations is with satellite. I had DirecTV for years and switched to Dish like 8 years ago.....I like the way you can run multiple TV's from a single box and the fact that I can take the box to my river house and not pay for double service.
