Hey Guys,

As most of you know, I work during the season brokering boats for Long Beach Yacht Sales. Well, this year, we are the autorized liquidator by the Court Appointed receiver for Magic Boats. Well, the phone has been non-stop ringing, and the boats are arriving daily. I set up a website to inform everyone whats going on and the inventory. It is http://www.isellrepoboats.com. Check it out, I have the whole process explained and the inventory up of what we have or may have coming in. PM me with any questions or email, or call. Whatever is easiset. :D

From what I have been told, the parts are being held within the company and will be available only to the person who purchases the company. :( I inquired because I would love to get my hands on quite a few of the items they have in stock. Unfortunately the powers that be said that it probably is not going to happen. :(

I was somewhat disapointed by what I saw. I remember the quality of Magic boats being at a higher level than what I saw. I saw alot of wavey gel coats, alot of crappy pine lines and sloppy work. I under stand these boats were in various states of completion but nothing is going to change sloppy gel work. For the price LBYS is asking for these boats I don't think I would be interested. I don't see the asking prices for these units being a big enough incentive to purchase substandard equipment. This is just my humble opion on what I saw.

We just got back an hour or so ago from the Beach Blvd location. Found several boats that we liked, but was dissapointed to learn that "less motor" meant no motor or outdrive, should have called first and asked some specific questions. I have a spare BBC that would have found a quick home. Adding the cost of the outdrive plus install pushes it out of the picture right now.

I didn't notice any glaring workmanship issues in any of the boats at that location.

Cheers, Mark

I have completed two of these and am starting on #3 tomorrow. So far so good. Each of the boats required a little bit of gel repair (Less than $500), but once that was done, they all looked like brand new boats. I have yet to see any structural problems with any of the boats that I have done. They ride nicely and look good. :) Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with the deals that are out there.

Here are the links to the two that I just did.
28' Septer cat w/ 525

28' Party Deck w/ New C.A.R.B. Approved 496 Mag HO

Hi Dave,

Danny and I talked this morning. He suggested that I try and find one of the 2007 hulls and use the Bravo 1XR drive for the horsepower I want to provide. I have an email into Chris to find out what 2007 hulls are left, and at what locations.

But for now, it's off to the lake for a five day weekend. I'll be measuring the big garage to see if these things will fit. :D

Cheers, Mark

Wow, I have been so busy the last few weeks, I forgot to check my own thread:party: Awesome.....anyways, yea anyone with questions PM me or call direct, its easiest to get hold of me. We have a few of the deckboats left, thats about it. Plenty of the Scepters to choose from. Danny (BadBlown572) can answer any and all Motor and rigging questions, including pricing. He has rigged all of my customers that chose to put a new motor in. Also see the pic below of whats left in deckboat inventory!

UPDATE: Hey Guys, just got word down the line that Magic/Cougar figured out it costs more to build the boats then what we are selling them for. Meaning, they are working a deal right now to buy back the remaining inventory off of the bank. So that means, if you have any interest on buying one of these before they leave, it is imperative that you get a hold of me ASAP. I have a handful of deckboats left, and a ton of Scepters they are dealing on! PM or Call me!

To anyone that is looking, CALL CHRIS! Every one of the customers that I have dealt with have had nothing but praise for the way that Chris handled the deals. Also, if anyone needs motors/drives for these, let me know. :)

We had only 1 Drew back in the beginning. It sold fast! Not sure why they didnt make more closed bows? Isnt it same top cap and they make them all open bows? Not sure why.

Scepters are (i believe) a deep vee offshore looking boat.

Deckboats are cat based, open floor party wagons

Same bottom, can be closed bow or a forward pit instead of the open deck. Insurance is around double of the deck boat from what I've heard.

Scepters are the traditional open bow cat. Same bottom is corrrect as the deck boat, just different top.

We have had insurance companies agree to insure the Scepter as the same rate as the Deckboat. This is with the stock motor though. Im sure when you start jacking up the HP, you get into a whole 'nother league:D

Heres a pic of the Scepter! DCM did a beautiful job of rigging it!
