I’m not so sure he hit a roller. That boats back quarter was folded significantly when it went airborne.

I sure hope he pulls through and is okay with just bumps and bruises.

I don't know...don't see any rollers...looked like something went wrong with the boat cause it does not even look that fast...but definitely violent...hopefully the driver recovers 100%

From my old man... Old school river rat.

My analasis is the propshaft. It looked like what happens when the forward universal joint on a car breaks and the drive shaft digs into the pavement and pogos the car butt first usually up and left or right depending which way the rear attached drive shaft goes. Looked bad, sank instantly, hull must of broken and the weight of the engine drug the boat to the bottom. Any word on the driver and or passenger?

That's a good point. Also you would think an over-rev would occur around the time the nose dove. Trying not to speculate. It was a bizarre crash.. really hope the driver can recover.

One of my biggest fear on my vdrive junk was/is the shaft coming out and going into the rudder. I ran a collar just off the strut, and another just off the seal. Might be overkill, but that shit scares the F outta me!
