Are these really worth that kind of money? I have a killer one that I bought, just cause it looked cool. Even has it's original leather case. It's shaped a little different though.

That’s a record for a vogue square tail for sure. I’ve got a few of them as they are a fun ski to play with. I guess with what wood 360s are going for this would seem like a steal. 🤷

I bought one for less than $100, but it needs new bindings I think. Figured it would be good for teaching kids.

Currently on display at my brothers Lake Arrowhead house.
That model Vogue would have been brand new in the late 60's. I have my original slalom cut one. Our family friend skied in their advertisements and stopped me from buying a used older flat bottom Vogue for $30. My new one with full double bindings and a bag was $60, I would say approximately 1968.

My Dad bought it new, so that timing is about right.
I started skiing in 1970 or so behind my parents 14’ flat bottom with a 40 hp Mercury outboard at Big Bear. We all had to do shore starts on a single ski because the boat could not pull us up! He built the boat from a kit in his Altadena garage. Currently in the same garage is his 16’ Glas Ply with a 100 HP mercury. Has not seen daylight since 1989. My next project!
Somehow the garage did not burn but his house and all the houses around it are all gone 🙁

I was on a single ski in 1968. In the late 70's when I was working for Banks I got up deepwater behind a zodiac style boat at Marine Stadium with a 25 HP engine for a magazine ad. I should find that photo!
