I can't friggin believe they'd put that multi-slip dock, plus another on that island

In the early 60's, either mine or my buddy's parents would drop he and I off there with our overnight supplies and we'd pitch our tent and make camp. Little did they know, we'd built a small raft we had stowed in the bushes, we'd use that to float our clothes across, toss them on, hike the lake trail to the village and watch the Saturday late night horror flicks at the movie theater.
Then when the movie let out, we'd have Bear Claws at the Denny's, hike back and hit the sleeping bags. Parents would pick us up the next morning in the boat.
Was an amazing time being a kid in Arrowhead in those days.
