I can't friggin believe they'd put that multi-slip dock, plus another on that island 😔
In the early 60's, either mine or my buddy's parents would drop he and I off there with our overnight supplies and we'd pitch our tent and make camp. Little did they know, we'd built a small raft we had stowed in the bushes, we'd use that to float our clothes across, toss them on, hike the lake trail to the village and watch the Saturday late night horror flicks at the movie theater.
Then when the movie let out, we'd have Bear Claws at the Denny's, hike back and hit the sleeping bags. Parents would pick us up the next morning in the boat.
Was an amazing time being a kid in Arrowhead in those days. 😁👍

Well good thing i did that turn and burn to Vegas for the tile. Thought it was going to be the typical month before start. Got a call yesterday afternoon they are removing all the concrete on our back patio. Last big project and only thing left is a pool which will not happen until I will be there full time when ever that happens.

A single wide slip with no cover is now going for $400k 😳
‘Now you see why they get added…

Yep, they’ve added a convenience dock on the island, and you’re no longer allowed to beach your boat on it. They’ve also got a full time duty monitor on the island. It was getting bad towards the end, it was like the channel on a weekend. Chubby tattoed chicks doing that torque dance or whatever they call it when they get their butt cheeks clapping, and several different stereos competing for the loudest and most horrible music. Now, mind you, I was smack dab in the middle of it all A lot of the time.
Tell me more about "Chubby tattoed chicks doing that torque dance or whatever they call it when they get their butt cheeks clapping"...sounds like a unique species

In around '64 we owned a nice Tier 2 lot with a great lake view way up in North Bay. It came with a really cool block dock house, patio / BBQ area and covered double slip in a sheltered cove right below the lot with an easement to get down between two lots to the dock. Kept it for several years, but prior to building a new home on the lot dad got a bad feeling and cold feet on the deal.
First of all, the property this really awesome dock house was built on didn't belong to us, it was the Arrowhead Development corporation who owned the lake and ring of land surrounding it --- the then equivalent of the what you all now refer to as the ALA. Second problem was, when dad found out that someone associated with the ADC had purchased the Tier one lake side lot directly behind our dock and dock house. Certainly our tier 2 had lake & dock privileges, but since the dock house was on their property, they could have easily have told us to move our dock elsewhere, making their lot even more valuable ----- dad sold the lot shortly thereafter and I have no idea if his concerns were warranted or not.
But $ 400K for that setup is amazing --- I am surprised about the grandfathered dock house, that's interesting, since it's on ALA land.

Nope. Head to the channel on Havasu for spring break. Youll get your fill.

I lived in Arrowhead from 1976 to 2012. Maybe our paths crossed?

Ok, this is just silly. 400k in winter harbor? That is the absolute worst bay on the entire lake. I don’t care if you’ve got the taj mahal dock house. The wind blows directly into the bay all dam day. No way. That’s just stupid.

Around 1975, after over 20 amazing years at the lake, dad sold the place and my lake trips were limited to an occasional visit to a buddy who's parents had a place in Hamiltair and a Cheetah jet, named "Mellow Yellow", slipped in Meadow Bay. Mostly by then, another buddy and I had purchased a Hondo Flat and were tearing up the Parker Strip. 😁

Yes, completely upside down. Surprisingly not a ton of damage to the dock or roof.
the dock house was destroyed though.

Appreciate it bud! We almost ended up in the drink as well, same turn. It was deceiving with all the dust. We ended up on the rocks (rip-rip) and no idea how we were easily able to back up out of it. We live to race again lol
live to race again and you are doing it right. ;)

Went to LOTO to get out of town for a bit. Was supposed to be a wash out so I left the boat home. Rain held out and my buddies Don and Karen offered to take us on the Spring Harbor Hop on their CCX (Badass ride!). First poker run for Kelsi, she was excited. Fantastic weekend.

It was a miserable Sunday. LOL
Woke up to rain, had to pull boat back to storage in it then spent 2 hours cleaning it. Then onto all the traffic.

We got off at Ludlow and took National Trails Highway to Fort Caddy Rd to bypass those wrecks. My in laws were ahead of us and saw 2 dead bodies in one vehicle.

We just made it home. So glad to be on my couch.

USA Gymnastics Region 5 Regional Tournament... Where my youngest daughter put it on kill and won 2nd All Around and 1st in Vault and Floor. Pretty proud of all the hard work she's put into her sport and it pays off.

Love the indoor / outdoor bar set up! Are you going to do an accordion window or pop up, or? Kitchen on the otherside of the bar?

Gonna be sweet!
