And that’s you lol. I’ve personally bought two cars at smoking deals way under asking because the sellers liked my story. I could have turned around and flipped them for market value but I’m not a dick. I also was able to secure my last rental because of a “sweetheart” letter I wrote, which the owner specifically said that’s why he chose us.

Unfortunately, because of flippers writing fake “sweetheart” letters home seller are now starting to not accept them.

As far as the boat in question goes, I think the OP got a lot of info that will allow him to put an offer in he thinks is fair. It’s a nice boat with a great engine package.
No SOB stories!!!!

I know what I have!!!!

So true. There is an item here for sale right now that I would like to buy because I think I could flip it. But good lord imagine the hate I would get.

This bullshit about sellers selling for less because the flipper lied about it going to a good home is the most bullshit thing I have ever heard. I give 2 shits what you do with it after I get my money and that’s how it goes.
Wait a minute…I thought you were a “tire kicker?” 😜
Old GD.com joke, for those that don’t know.

I wouldn’t change or lower the value of something I’m selling because someone gave me a story..

I could care less what they do with it after I sell it.

That said I’m surprised anyone would listen to a story? lol

I was with Steve 2FF one time and these guys bought a truck off him in my garage.. the whole “we r doing car shows with my dad, this was his exact same style truck”. On and on.. it was for sale two days later for more.. lol

I don’t listen to any of that shit anymore.

I think I know how you can save for that house. Send me these stories that convince people to sell their junk below market. I will buy it and give you half the profit.

I hate flippers to… when they beat me to the deal. If someone has the balls to buy something in hopes of making a buck more power to them. But in doing so they can also loose their ass.

If it was easy as everyone thinks they would do it to.

Yup tire kicker yet I bought so much shit from that site and nobody said shit when I donated hundreds of dollars.

Bunch of bitches to be honest. Guys on there talk shit yet want something from you later.

How about the guy that bought the trailer from me and the title had issues I told him I would give him his money back and refused. Yet kept talking shit, Even after I got his title handled.

They weren’t so much a story, just me being a young dude who really wanted the car, the old guys appreciate it. When I bought my vette the guy knocked $5k off the price without me even starting negotiations, he was just happy it would go to someone who would love it as much as he did. According to him he had already been offered more than what he sold it to me for, but he didn’t think the guy would take good care of it.

Did you sell the vette for more then you bought it for or the same price?

Nope, sold it for $1500 less than I paid. It getting hit ruined the value, no one wants a clean low mileage vette that has an accident.

I sold it during Covid and should have been able to make $10k but I also wouldn’t have sold if it didn’t get hit. The accident ruined the car for me…

Shit around here accidents add value… maybe that’s just for Ford Fusions. 🙄

its like my buying the Honda CRV that a RDP member sold me a few months back and I told him that its for my daughter to learn to drive. I could have easily sold it for 3 k more the next day. Not how I roll. My word is my word. And if I sell, it will go again to a teen to learn.

I get it though, there is no honor amog theives! Carry On! Boat is sweet. Thats why I was on it!

Where is the OP? He might have some more negotiating power out of this anyways.

I got a good deal on my rv because of my kids and my mom being Leo. I do care what people do with my shit after I sell it. Don’t want my dads boat to end up like RD’s. Everyone is different

What happened to mine? Or rather which one? lol

The schiada that got flooded… I don’t really ever sell shit and that’s probably why

Shit happens. Boat seems to have a good home now and even though it was flooded it didn’t seem to do any damage?

My......how the world of rdp turns.......these threads.

Some people don’t like flippers.. some people are flippers.. some people just want to buy a boat. lol

Honestly the deal the OP is looking at doesn’t sound like it’s priced badly. Just someone else was mad they didn’t get it for 10-20 cheaper. Who knows.

I don’t know about you guys, but the way I roll is I buy something very expensive, and put a shit ton of money into it, and then sell it for half of what I payed originally.
We must be related! 😂

Like i said people are different. I care what happens to my shit, if you don’t, you don’t. I’ve gotten lots of shit here for a really good deal and most the time it’s because people know me and the boys are going to get great use out of it. I’d be an ass if I turned around and made money off a good gesture. I’ve bought quads, dirtbikes, golf carts, guns, all for a great deals. People not not be mad if I turned around and flipped the stuff but they would probably have a second thought about me too

There’s always a certain lowest sell price I have when I sell anything, someone’s story is not going to get me lower than that price, once it’s sold, I couldn’t give two shits what you do with it after…

Is this the Calex boat?
If you mean did he acquire it from that guy, it rings a bell but not 100% sure. Not many of them around as I understand it. It came out of Havasu when he bought it last year.

It looks and sounds Iike a really good boat. Trust but verify the engine condition with a leak down and compression test by a reputable shop in your area prior to closing the deal. It makes for a much more fulfilling buying and useing experience when there are no unpleasant surprises shortly after you buy it. Good luck on however you chose to proceed.

It’s one thing to be an honest flipper, it’s another thing to lie to the original seller so you can flip…
Exactly this! Bernie bought a boat that I was selling for a friend's wife. He had taken his own life, and she was trying to sort through everything. Selling the boat was something she decided she had to do. Now, had he come and said he was buying the boat to make some money on it, cool. She gets the boat sold, he gets the boat with room for profit. But no... he shows up with his wife, tells me how his kids are excited for the new boat and all that BS. The deal is made, and a week later he has it listed with new wheels on the trailer. I'm not hating, just don't like that "lifestyle" epic or not.....

Yep, and all this Fuckery would go away if Arizona had brokerage laws on boats. When I worked for Long Beach Yacht sales I had to get a sales person license and take like a 300 question test and hang my license under a brokerage with trust accounts, disclosure laws, etc. etc. Arizona has none of that. They don’t even have titles for boats hence why this continues.

This was a while back before he was "Epic". Even went as far as to respond to my ad through "his son's" FB account because he "didn't have social media". But whatever, the deal had been made, and she got a fair price for the boat at the time, so it all worked out. I'm just not into the shady shit.

Karma is a bitch.

Just like the other thread on here, boating has a way of attracting some real “characters”.
