We are always looking for help if you know anyone interested. $25 per hour to start and 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. No construction experience needed just a desire to actually work while you are being paid to work. Reliable transportation and work boots will get you going. We operate in OC and the IE

Send me a PM if you are interested.

Bummer. My boy is only 14 so I’ll bump this thread in a couple years.

I realize $52,000.00 is not amazing pay.

Is it good for helper with no experience as starting wage ?

Clearly room to grow if work, we have installers making triple that.

I was a contractor/remodeler for over 30 years before I retired. $25/hr seems VERY fair for someone coming in that doesn't even know how to read a tape.. I was thinking more like $18/hr? But I guess they're making that at McDonalds now.. I hope you're able to find a good one.

Not sure but not interested in addicts.
I think you failed to see the humor in that post😉

Anyways what do you charge to swap out a fiberglass tub/shower to a low dam walk in fiberglass shower kit? Job is in north Orange County, mid grade kit, door, and fixtures is fine for conversation sake at this point.

I’d be in for a fiberglass tub retro as well my kids bathroom is cracked and that’s next on our project list

I'm retired from my regular profession and do work for my nephew on bath/kitchen remodels as well as doors and windows. I do mostly demo, electrical, framing, drywall...what ever it takes. He pays me $300 cash per day and that includes a decent lunch. I normally work for him 2-5 days a week and just recently decided I don't work for others on Mondays anymore. 😁

My last official job was 27 hr I been there 26 years at the time. Old boss died he gave me cash bonuses often extra money etc. his son took over and a calculator guy no future I left. Business closed soon after.

Now work for brother good numbers and flex sch doing same thing. Crazy how small change makes a person happy again. With a move lower cost of living my work is now spending money. Only downside I go back forth phx to south oc postives I can work as much as I need but last few months more than I want because brothers going through chemo and I’m helping out more.

At times gotta do what you gotta do to help but life will get back to normal.

I did see the humor, I was just having fun.

Our showers are not fiberglass inserts. We tear everything out down to the studs. New trap, new valve. We use a waterproof board like Hydroblok. 96" wall height. With a nice 5/16" semi frameless slider door a few shelves or recessed niche. perhaps a folding seat or a bench.
roughly $12K-$17K all in. All showers come with an Unlimited lifetime warranty on the entire shower.

We use domestic composite wall panels from Sentrel bath systems or the Onyx collection.
Most of our clients are sick of cleaning old grubby tile and grout and they want a quick turn around. Most showers/tubs are one to two day jobs unless we are doing flooring, lighting drywall vanities etc.

This project doesn’t warrant that level of material, just a swap out to low dam fiberglass shower kit. Standard track home built around 2000. Let me know if your interested.

I still do some basic repairs like missing staples, but more than that I advise replacement as it’s get kind of pricey to do color match for old shutters with broken or missing louvers.

When I was doing my apprenticeship, that was prevailing wage on public works projects. Fuck I’m old!

I started at $5/hr. Same job requirements: boots and a reliable car. All I had were boots and a Baja bug.

When I started for helix, I remember there were 11 of us all filling out paperwork for 3 jobs. When you turned in your paper work, they gave you the address to a walk in clinic to pee in a cup. Only 3 of us found our way to the UA. I suppose the other 8 guys just went home.
