My name is Jim and I have issues with cool shit. There at least I admit it. Actually text a therapist chick I know last night and asked what therapy would cost. Still cheaper to just continue on my path of hoarding.

Issues? I see no issues with this purchase.
And hoarding? No, you’re just replenishing stock. And since cool shit is your business, this should be a write off for taxes.
It’s a win, win, win all the way around. I really don’t see a problem here. 😁

My thoughts exactly. And having all the teenage fantasy shit become reality is a bonus.

So, you do have a vintage 1985, Kelly Le Brock? Maybe a "Married With Children" edition of Christina Applegate?

My teenage reality was nitrous bottles, slicks and beer...that stuff was easily attainable 🤣 Dreams of Enderle and Hilborn stuff were there, but possibly secondary.

I found the Hot Rod annuals that the engines were in from 87-88 last night. Playboys?? nah Hot rod and Popular Hot rodding were the issues.

In 1985, I was working at Enderle machining 110 pumps and bug catcher butterfly shafts.
… Either very late 64 or early 65… I walked into Enderle in Glendale with my mother‘s next-door neighbor… who’s Fueler I ended up driving… if I remember correctly, my mother‘s neighbor got the first set of injected small block Chevy Enderle’s… he did not want Kent to set them up… ready to race… he wanted to do all that himself… that set of injectors worked perfectly… Just an occasional pill change🤷🏽‍♀️

I’ve got an 1.125 shaft with an overall length of 78 inches if that would work
I think it’s a little longer than that? Been a while let me make a call
You booked out for a while?

I can help you get it in.
Can shorten and re-key if needed.
Is the rudder offset?
It’s a 19 GN type boat.
Up graded prop shaft. Strut is bored. Not installed. V drive has not been up sized yet. Shaft log is drama. I said I’d make one. It’s complicated. I’ll start with length and if it works might get things rolling again.

That’s exactly what is going on and its glorious!

Imagine being from the Midwest and hardly ever seeing any of that hardware in person, only in magazines…

My first book that I remember was “How to hot rod a small block Chevy”. I would stare at all of The badassery for hours studying every detail.

Your description of “sensory overload” is spot on.

My buddy bought an old GMC tractor with a Detroit in it a few weeks ago. He told me what he wanted to do with it and then right after he told me that he confessed that it will probably never happen. I told him it was worth the money just to talk and dream about it.

probably about 50% actually.
A large part of the engine was built from bespoke parts developed by GM's racing engineering group. I don't remember the bore and stroke (what a surprise).

Check out the size of the oil tank we ran on the DRCE, 3½ gallons. It has a five speed Liberty xmsn and Winters rear end. You can see the CAN bus loop for the rear end sensors in the photo. The pinion gear is the size of a small pineapple.

😁

The pneumatic shift tubing for the xmsn is to the right of the oil tank.

I was looking at that, the layout is clean too, well packaged! Back in the day the cylinder head callouts were a total pain in the ass for these engines. Almost every set of heads had valve guide location and slight chamber changes...
