Wife said she was blindsided last 2 trips to Trader Joe’s as the doors opened the crowds mad rush to buy the cloth bags.

Supply Picked clean in a one minute frenzy.
$3. Ea.

Walmart selling out in minutes at $8 ea. was the tale.

Wife went to pick up salad from Trader Joe’s one day for lunch. They had just put out some insulated soft sided lunch box’s. She picked up two for us. The girls at work wanted some when they seen hers. No luck, they were gone before any one of them got back there.

Trader Joe’s merch is hot on resale market.

Wife had no clue this stuff even existed. She was there to restock my weight loss diet of sugar free, plain flavor sawdust and hamster food.
Doors opened and the crowd went apeshit and blew right by her.

Wife got straight armed at our local dealer when she took her car in for 5 "Updates" aka recalls. They wouldn't touch the car unless she paid for a tire rotation and cabin air filter that it didn't need. $150? NFW.

She took it to another dealer and they gladly did the work, charged the car and detailed it, even took the initiative to replace a bad tire all free.
They gave her FREE some Black Yeti zip top insulated bags with KIA on the side and they get cool remarks when she takes them shopping.

She didn't buy any bags at TJ's, said "the people were like a swarm of termites."

I'm a 2-3 bag guy, one trip to unload groceries into the house, so i prefer the big Costco bags, double up and use them for hauling all the shit on river trips, sheets, blankets, etc, etc. we do have trader joes bags also, more of a chick bag.

So glad my wife doesn't give a shit about stuff like that. She is so easy. If I bought her a LV or coach purse she would punch me in the head.
Yeah, wife never wants anything, ever for any occasion so it's tough at her Birthday or Christmas. A rescue puppy or kitten is all that works.

I’d bet the people standing in line for these bags are the same ones that panic bought toilet paper and eggs, and we all know what that did.

Sheeple buying into the hype.

George Carlin would have said….

Obsessive Facebook Prozac soccer moms jacked up on Starbucks with nothing better to do after dropping their kids off at school in their Range Rover Defenders

Mind if I ask what Kia dealer this is? Our local dealer (Covina Valley Kia) likes to pull the same shenanigans

Kia Irvine. excellent service.
Hello Kia in Valencia too, always gave the wife a NEW plain wrap loaner to take home whenever she was in for service.
Kia sold and we're waiting for the Scout to roll off the production line.

I’ve had good luck with Citrus Kia in Ontario. Two new engines in two cars at nearly 100k miles under warranty. Never been hassled on recall work. Bought one pre owned car from them and do all my own service work. Not like I’m a high value customer or anything to them.

Ooo….we’ve got piles of those cooler bags.

Maybe I’ll throw a couple on eBay and see what happens.

This ranks right up there with people thinking certain tennis shoes are worth thousands of dollars.

Or the brand "supreme".

Um, no.
Check out “chrome hearts” clothing if they’re still around. I used to do work for the owner who would give me hats/hoodies and stuff….a shitty trucker hat with their logs and “fuck you” printed on it would go for $200. I sold it all on eBay and made some good $$$

Here’s socks lol

I figure since the ChiComs publicly exposed (us men knew it all along) the ultra luxury hand bag market on the TIk Tak and gram as a big scam with ginormous margins, the womenz must be trying to out do themselves by buying way cheaper to manufacture shit bags and paying even ginormous'er margins?

BTW, just think of the quantity of tail you could secure with a pallet of those cheap ass bags? May be time to start rolling a few truck drivers outside the warehouse...

Also- I recently secured a little gift/hand bag thingy that has a bunch of shit in it from Sephora for my daughter for her birthday. Apparently, these little bags are the hot ticket and women were throwing down for them in the store? She said "this is the best present I have ever got!" and it has apparently raised her status in THE 7th FUK'N GRADE! straight to the top. 😒

Those bags are a special limited count run.
These are smaller than they’re regular canvas bags, and these this year were pastel colors.

I waited in line as well. No biggie. Once the doors opened it was very organized, a table was set up with the bags and 2 employees handling the line. You could pick up to 4 bags per visit. Most picked one of each color.
They sold at $2.99 each.. it wasn’t a free for all, or a bum rush to the table.

Talking to a few employees they said each store was selling up to 1800 bags per day.

Running out after about an hour or more.
It’s just a novelty thing. The bags are pretty nice. Perfect lunch-bag size.

I went to Trader Joe’s mid Feb for the usual stuff I buy there, saw the insulated bags & got one to go with the TJ’s gift card I was getting for birthday gift. 🤷‍♀️ store was crowded but I never gave it another thought. That was the morning of Feb 14th, I had no idea it was a destination for flowers!! I was going to do one more round in parking lot, if I couldn’t get a spot, I never would have made it inside 😏

People are dumb. Same people who had to have the pink Stanley cups or any other latest stupid fad. They probably had to HAVE cabbage patch kids, or tamagoochie (whatever they were called) as a kid. They buy into the marketing that purchasing some inanimate object makes them special.

… I still have a few Wal Mart canvas bags… I used to hang one on each side of my Suzuki dual sport bars… And go to the market to get a few things… One on each side of the bars could balance things out quite well… took side streets… Cause I don’t think it’s legal to carry groceries on your handlebars🤷🏽‍♀️

I showed this thread to Fonda and she said "It's like those stupid Stanley cups."

At least a LV purse holds its value fairly well....these bags will be just like the Stanley cup craze....people were paying hundreds of dollars for a $12 cup....now they are worth nothing because the craze is over....

No kidding, at least the beanie baby trend lasted a few years.

Everytime one of these must have fads pop up it reminds me of just how simple and stupid the human race is

These frenzied shopping trends pop up as often as TicToc trends. Worthless crap 90% of the time.
It just blows my mind how sheep-like people are over this kinda shit. I keep wondering if some of these folks are even capable of thinking for themselves.

There are handbags over $100k on the secondary market.

So this isn't very surprising.
