Spooky. I think it was Larry Ellison around 15 years ago that said, computers are already too powerful to control.

In reality, elections only move half the speed of light. Math says maybe 80% max. Even less if you stop and start or change directions. In quantum computing there are more then one pathway at a time. Like looking at a woman in a bikini as she walks by. You see the whole and understand everything you need to know. Then you decide what you are going to focus on and look at that, as she walks away. Todays computers use a simple counting of on/off switching. The same woman walks by. In the same time frame as before, you have to look at every aspect of the human body before you decide what to look at first. She will be long gone before you even start to count the hairs on her head. That's a simple example of a thought versus computing. What both have in common is the time it takes to complete a task. The down fall of quantum computing is that it can make a conclusion and move on before it has all the information, just because of the time it takes for one election to move from one atom to the cloud of another and it doesn't know there was an error or cares. The moment an electron enters the cloud of another atom, time doesn't exist for that moment, therefore its infinite and we as humans don't understand this. That makes it very dangerous because a lot can happen when time stands still or goes out of phase. Today computers can make an error if a wire is to long and it doesn't wait. We have a lot to learn, to late. How's that for going into the weeds on a Friday.

We are already having to plan future products to much more stringent encryption standards required by NIST beginning in 2025 to prevent quantum compute data hacking. This is all (AI, Compute power, Data encryption, block chain) the new war battlefield, I wish we would do more to keep the US tech advantage from getting nack to China.

Very cool explanation. 👍🏼

Explains why they are currently at 1 error in 100 calculations. Will they get to where they Want to be in even five years, as they expect to be?

60 Minutes is VERY biased anymore. It's difficult to believe much of what they barf up.

No, sadly the error rate will increase. Quantum computing does not see errors because it never happened in the first place. Nothing good will come out of this.

60 minutes is just bullshit propaganda pushing an agenda. You are completely correct. Absolutely usless show.

Whatever conclusion they come to, the opposite is likely true 🤣

"In comprehensible"
Going to be a game changer...good...bad...or indifferent...

So I have seen Michio Kaku on a number of TV programs and I said damn that looks like my dads cardiologist! So yesterday I ran into him at the hospital and asked him if they were related and he said "yes that is my older brother " I said "well it runs in the family" then he said "he is the true genius in the family"

What a small fricken world!

If 60 Minutes is featuring it then it can't be good, they're just trying to sell something to us dumbass masses.

That 60 minutes had me thinking...head for the hills! Encryption will most likely do nothing for our data in near future. Again, gold, silver, real estate with proper documentation may be more and more lucrative than we can imagine.
