There is good and bad in religion, just as there is in people. Maybe that's the issue, man created organized religion, and man teaches it. Individuals seem to be the problem, both with church, and without. Regardless of how people learn, they need to learn right from wrong.

Morality was taught through Christianity . Im not saying you cant have one with out the other just that when church was a regular event in peoples life , i feel it instilled morality .

The origin of morality is the Bible, this has been argued for a thousand years. If no one ever told you not to kill someone how would you know its not OK? I agree, as more and more people fall away from the church and just basic decency our society erodes and that is exactly what we are seeing, just as past great societies saw. Why did Rome fall?
