When I had my old jet boat everything was polished, I found the Zephyr Pro 40 product and it worked awesome.

Any time I have seen people attempt to polish toons it never really seemed to work out. I hope it works out for you though.

Those polishing pads are rotary.. I think I’d rub foam pads and use an agitator setup. ??

shit is gonna get flung everywhere..

My uncle had a buddy who started zephyr polish from the stories he told me. My uncle had cases of that stuff and i still have some bottle after like 20 years and it works amazing still on a metal. Good stuff!! Have funn with the buffing👌💪

That Zephyr kit is good, best kit I found for polishing aluminum. Make sure to clean the toons well first and get rid of any waterpots and if its really bad, you may want to hit it with sandpaper up to 3K grit or so or steel wool before you start polishing.

I tried everything on polished aluminum, nothing works, soooo, my last try is Cerakote mc5100 I will be trying it out this week. My stuff is polished and ready to spray. NOTHING else works Alumina clear, shark, bs this and bs that. This is my last try.

Not following what you mean by nothing works? As far as maintaining it?

I think he is referring to some type of clear coating to keep it from oxidizing in the future. I also would like to know if anything out there works well for this and stands up to the elements.

If you leave it in the marina, don’t bother.
The hard part is getting it past factory “dull” to the base , then bringing it to a mirror finish.
I was fortunate the original owner owned a boat dealership and had it polished out when new.
It was three years old when I got it and was dull.
Rogue in brown-green-white to get to base.
Very dirty but has to be done to get to the base
I’ve seen zephyr get there but rogue gets through the dull faster.

Shark hide is the one to use but you get two seasons usually.

If my toon was my second boat I wouldn’t do it.
It’s my main ride and a polished 13 year old toon is the only way to rock this old girl, lol

“if it don’t go, chrome it” is my mantra
If you wipe it down like a glass boat each day at when parked it stays pretty clean.

Zephyr makes good products and those pads are nice. Running them at a high speed is loud so warn your neighbors and wear hearing protection too. A full face shield will help keep your face a little cleaner too. 😁 Have fun!!

Yes, I mean the Polished Aluminum is impossible to keep polished. I am fighting with polished intake and valve covers so chemicals and constant heat are an issue (enclosed engine compartment).
