HF Predator 2000 Generator Surging....WTF....

I have a nearly new HF Predator 2000 generator that I cannot get to stop fkn surging. I’ve been through the carb 15 fkn times and there’s zero change.

Anyone have a trick here?

One of the jets has something clogging it. Pull them all out, soak in carb cleaner in the plastic cap from the can, blow out both directions with compressed air. If that doesn't work, get a new carb.

I would look for a vacumm leak somewhere. Check intake gaskets and such to see if they are sucking in air.

On my Yamaha and Honda it is usually the main jet. I usually clean it with a wire. If putting the choke on a little bit makes it stop, it's the jet.

If it ends up being the jet clogged i would drop one of those prefilters in the full neck

My honda did the and I had to replace the carb after running ethanol gas thru it. I now use only 76 91 octane and run carb dry at the end of the run time.

I'm at 5000+ feet, damn near every genset up here takes a little bit of tweaking on the mixture to smooth out. I don't know where you're at, elevation wise, but a bad mixture or an ill fitting mixture screw can cause some goofiness.
