I Got This One On Amazon And Absolutely Love It. Super Bright.

Edit: I did research and this was best bang for the buck and exactly what I wanted. Comes with belt holder, spare battery 18650 3000mAh, AAA battery holder, charger and solar keychain light too which is cool to have on you at all times. Flashlight itself has multiple modes including 3 brightness levels, strobe, and SOS. On highest level of will light up a room like daylight and when adjusted can beam over a football field for sure.

I have a couple of the INOVA flashlights. Not cheap but have had my first one since 2006 and they replaced it with the charger in 2010 due to the switch sticking. Lifetime replacement no questions asked.

Yup.
Look at the battery spec first.
Consumer grade AA, C, D batteries aren't gonna get the output you want.
18650 rechargeables, or some other high output cell, will.

Neighbor is renting rooms starting a few weeks ago. Suspicious activity last few weeks in park across the street. Tailgate stolen off my truck two days ago. Cars parked at tiny park late at night for no good reason. I have been approaching cars late at night. My wife is really uncomfortable with our young daughter. I want the best flashlight. Grads made a joke of it turning to fleshlight. I don't know if he has kids but he probably would not think it's funny if he did.

Funny not so funny part was i read his bs thread after posting in yours.

Call “1” security company for a quote (the visibility of truck out front) then buy some HF cameras for time being and mount totally in the wide open visible of front of the house they are scary even to honest people. Also t-ball bats are amazing as they are light to swing for the wife or buy a new duck hunting utility tool believe they are still legal in CA as well for 2-300$ they sure make a wife feel safe.

I use a flashlight daily for work. Personally, I don't like the rechargable batteries in one. It's just too easy to forget to charge it and find out you forgot when you need to use it. Much easier to just slap in some new batteries.

I have the tk35. I love it. It isn’t round so it’s great to set down and work with. Also it has a natural light output not the normal high k output led bulbs.

Not 1 security, but one security company. So it doesn’t look like your shopping it around just one company so it just appears you had one come out and set your house up.

Cameras cameras cameras. Go get yourself some HD cameras and get them set up on your WiFi ASAP. Have a couple to cover the front, and set up your motion alerts so that you get notified on any action in the specified zones. Coupled with your alarm, it's a great tool...

Ask for a flashlight recommendation, this bad boy is ridiculously bright. 25 minutes to recharge the battery, and it's pretty much indestructible.

I use flash lights almost daily at work, right now a carry an Olight s2r baton, uses an 18650 and is about the size of a roll of quarters. 1000lumen on high lasts a couple weeks before it needs a charge.

Badass little light for $80

Can't go wrong with Streamlight, Fenix, olight.

I also have an Olight M23, 1k lumen has a bigger head on it so it throws light pretty far for a pocket light.

So... What makes a flashlight tactical? Does it have a magazine to quickly reload batteries? Does the body collapse for easier transportation? Lol

So... What makes a flashlight tactical?

I think the jagged front, that you are supposed to be able to jamb into an attacker's face?

I will put in my 2c here, I live in Parker, bought a light off Ebay that uses two of the 18650 batteries,,, paid around $10, and is bright enough light the hill across the river from me. Batteries hold a charge for a long time, and the light is still usable when the charge falls off. I did have one of the batteries fail this year, not sure exactly how long it lasted, but I would consider it to be a bargain. There are a ton of them with a single cell, I assume that two would last longer while being used. It has three levels of brightness, and a flashing mode that is meant to confuse a subject, and I can say from having a flashing one pointed at me prior to my purchase, as well as testing the flasher on coyotes here, it has that type of effect.

The Glare Mout is a multipurpose Dazzler you'll find handy if things escalate.

A $161.00 bucks for a flashlight :p . If your life or job depends on a high end light it's probably a mute point, I'm with Barry on this. Find the best bang for the dollar that's bright and easy to use.

What do you want the flashlight for? I am a flashlightaholic. For EDC and all around light, I think the Malkoff is the best light available. I have replaced many of my surefire heads with their LED upgrade. Fully potted and great warranty. Surefire has many lights to choose from and they are my second choice. I have not had good luck with streamlight. I have had two rechargeable mag lights fail. If looking for a large light to keep around the house or garage, many of the Lowes 650 lumen lights are hard to beat for the performance vs price. Just remember to check the batteries since they corrode. For cheap low powered lights, I like Princeton tec.
Cheers, SSC

I think the best flashlight in this case would be one mounted to a gun.
Sounds like you need some cameras and some bright motion lights, it looks like daylight when my lights go off at night

Keep in mind if you need a flashlight for up close work say in an electrical panel at night an extremely bright lite will reflect back so intense it is almost useless it hurts your eyes so bad. If you point it to the side then you create shadows making it hard to work. I guess my point is buy for the application.

I have a couple of MagLites with the LED conversion. THat's what the cops are using because they can also be used as weapons. The 3 C-Cell is what all of my cop firends carry because it's light enough to swing, heavy enough to do serious damage when employed

I have a funny story with your weapon comment. I was talking to a former border patrol agent and was telling me stories about the TONC's when I asked him what a TONC was, he said it had 2 meanings. The first was
T: temporarily
O: out
of
N: native
C: country
And the 2nd was TONC the sound a maglite makes when you hit them in the head. I cried laughing knees damn near buckled.

The better flashlights have different brightness modes for this very reason

32000lm Skyray 12 X Cree Xm-l T6 Led Flashlight Torch 4 X 18650
$16.55
eBay

No tax

Bought one of these about 6 years ago to keep on the nite stand. Works great, will blind you for about 10+ seconds if you get hit in the eyes. Mine came with rechargeable batteries and a charger. Seems I paid about 75$ for it back then. This has bright and dim.
Ok I'll bite. This is my primary, has multiple brightness levels and the perfect beam.

My backup is the Pelican posted earlier.
Looks like I need to get up to speed on flashlights.:D

How much did you want to spend??

Good quality stuff isn't cheap! Fenix IS good. You won't go wrong with their stuff.

I like Nitecore personally. I have their lights, chargers and batteries. All of it works very well, and their service department is great.

I have a Streamlight at work. And have had one for decades. It used to get the shit kicked out of it most every day, but it now just sits in the charger.

I have gone through multiple brands of pocket pen lights. Most of em don't last long. I bought a Nitecore pocket light a couple years back, and I trash that thing every day. It's water proof. So when I drop it in a bucket of coolant or engine oil, I just clean it and get back to work.

I have a bigger one on my desk at home. Very dependable products
