Does most craft beer taste like shit? I've tried for years to cultivate a taste for something other than Budweiser and honestly I just don't get the hype about a beer that is so bitter or hoppy that I can hardly get it down. Also most of them are so much more expensive that when I buy it I feel obligated to drink it even though it sucks. Anyways I just don't get it, must be a hipster thing.

Budweiser and original Coors

Sam Adams is pretty tasty, too.

F* me though, I quit 11-years ago. Damn, I miss an ice cold Bud.

Dale bros brewery changed their name to "no name" brewery. Wonder if that was a way to get away from the gay? Lol

I'm with you, I've been a beer drinker for years. Living in Denver my whole life I started with Coors, when they came out with Coors Light that became my beer of choice. My favorites are Coors light, Bud light, and an occasional Carona. In Denver we have a huge amount of small craft bewerys, all doing very well. There is a bewery a block away from my business, and the owner occasionally brings me fresh beer, but to me I've never been able to drink more than one beer. For some reason I've never been able to acquire a taste for any of the craft beers.

I agree 100%. I can't stand SA or all the little brews with that bitter ass taste. I drink 90% Colorado Coolaides. I will drink a hefe, Guiness and Mickeys from time to time;) but that's about as far as I go. Every once in a while I try micro brew beer that is ok but I've never found anything I need to rush out and buy.

I don't know which would be worse, horse piss or micro brews. Either way I think they make you a little light in the loafers.

I right there with ya fellas. I have yet to find a microbrew I can stand. The closest one I've found that I like is Firestone 805 and Barrel House Brewing Templeton. But for the most part Coors Light. I won't buy Bud Light but I will drink it if it's handed to me.

For the most part it can be argued that beer is beer. It all tastes the same more or less. Obviously, some are "better" than others. I'm not a beer person any longer, and I rarely drink it.

Plywood aged Budweiser is right down there with Miller High Life - The Gatorade of Beers. Coors Light is like sex in a boat, both are fuckin' near water, as are most light beers.

My father said some years ago that "you don't drink beer for the taste". It was good advice then, and in light of this, maybe you should consider something else. Once you have gotten away from beer, you'll be surprised at how bad all of them are.

I would like to see someone pound a 12 pack of that craft beer everyday. Has anyone ever seen someone with a case of IPA's on their boat and drink all of them?

Most craft beer has to much hops in it for my taste. Fuckin hipsters are all about their IPAs and such. I do like that some Pilsners are making some inroads in the craft scene as well as some good lagers.

It isn't just the too much hops, it's all the other bullshit flavors they throw in it. Some of that stuff will gag a maggot...

Another vote for SilverBullets here, I know just horse piss.:p

Coors light for me...

I've been known to consume a Bud Light while out on the water. My friends and family know that's a sure sign that I'm out of Coors Light, and I'm drunk!

I do like 805, recently discovered that and can enjoy them. I also like Jesse's Lager at College Street, but can only handle about 2 of those at a time. I'll drink 1 or 2 Sam Adams in seasonal varieties.

Other micro brews...well I might try em, but basically...meah.....

I'm a long time Bud fan as well, but yes many of the craft brews are very contrived. There are many that I really like but many more that I don't.

I guess I'm a hipster fag, I love a good IPA. Pizza Port in Carlsbad has some amazing beers that I really enjoy. I enjoy brown ales and red ales too. I do drink Coors light but mostly when I need to pace myself and be semi responsible.

Pizza Port ... yes !

I find most "craft" beers to be not something I'd drink very much of at one sitting. Everyone thinks they have it figured out...but they are just home made beer that falls short.
Having said that, there is no fucking way you will ever see me drinking canned foam like bud or coors or miller.
Thanks, but if that's all there is in the cooler I'll have a makers instead.

My go to beers are Newcastle, Stella, Corona, good nut brown ales, or a decent porter.

I know it goes against the popular grain here, and there is no accounting for taste, but seriously, bud and associated other canned foams suck...might as well drink oly pop.

I thought it was just me.... I'll stick with BL, or better yet I'll just go straight to Jack!!:)

Years ago had a buddy that was in the air force, and he started bringing back different beers from around the world, most of em just tasted like wet wood chips or fertilizer to me. He did find a beer from New Zealand, called Lion Brown.. a dark beer, with a really great taste not heavy or bitter at all. I guess down there it was considered lower than Budweiser, but damn it was good. Came in like a 30oz bottle, two of those, and I was done!
He retired from the military, and I've tried to see if I could find an importer/store that could order it but no luck.

I will always drink Coors Light. Don't drink IPA'S - just don't like the taste. There are lots of brewers here in Oceanside... and some make great beers. Oceanside Ale Works, Breakwater Brewery, Karl Strauss and Pizza Port to name a few.

I enjoy craft beers from time to time. Had a few 805s yesterday ... but my go to regular is Bud Light.

I dig Hefs as well ... but don't really care for triple IPAs. They just taste like liquid weed to me.

Coors Light can kiss my ass.

Craft beers lost me when they started getting into watermelon, grapefruit, jalape?o, peanut butter, and etc IPA, reminds me of lattes. My best friend can drink a whole 12 pack of ipas on the lake but then he it out for the count. I used to drink them. But have since gone back to coors light .

I can drink IPA's, and the like, but all in all, it I was to tally it up in the end of the year, c minus is an over all winner for me. Nothing better than a cold c minus and half cup of orange juice on a weekend morning. I miss the shit out of the 10 oz coors citrus pops! My pal 025, on the other hand, loves the metro sexual fag IPA drinks. Some "piny the older"? Whatever......

I'm not a big beer fan in general but a nice creme ale at many craft brewers is what I prefer.
If it's a megga brewer then coors light I don't mind cuz it's the least beer-ee tasting.

My brewer tenant crafted a beer that I like and named it after my old dealership.

I went to one of the bars in Denver.
I thought I died and went to heaven.

I love craft beer. Not a fan of the stouts u have to eat with a knife and fork.
IPAs and ya more hoppy beers are the best.
If the was a choice between a craft beer or a mass produced beer I'd go the craft beer every day of the week. Normal beer after a craft beer tastes like soap.
