Jim Morrison

Someone on another BB had mentioned JM & John Lennon's b-day the other day which made me pull out the old photo album and scan a couple shots of JM's grave I took in Paris, France in 1983. It doesn't look like this anymore and I don't know if people still sit around his grave drinking and smoking hash cigs, but they did then. Just thought I share a piece of the/my past. :beer

Out here in the perimeter there are no stars. Out here we is stoned. Immaculate. :beer

I just heard on howard yesterday that there is significant controversy over where Lennon is burried or if he was cremated, no on knows, and i guess there is no definitive answer, then they were joking around saying that he was in a cardboard box in Yoko's apartment.

I just saw a classic rock cover band in the Firehouse bar :beer in Gold Cyn. The singer looked a bit like Jim, was wearing a tie-dyed Janis Joplin T-shirt and he sang some Doors songs :beer very well. He also sang ZZTop as if he were Jim. Good group and their groupies :drool weren't to bad either. I'd be interested in seeing the group again if I can drink. I was DD :smackhead that night.

I had heard the cemetary was in some big hub hub about Morison's grave.. people began to vandalyze some of the graves surrounding it or something? I dunno.

We went to the cemetery 3 years ago when we were in Paris. They actually no longer state where in fact the site is. This place is massive and has some very impressive europeans buried there. The detail in some of the crypts is amazing and way way over the top.

The morrison site is now gated off and looks nothing like the one in the pictures. I guess things have been stolen and he had been un dug quite a few times in the early years.

I have to say if I was a relative of someone near that grave at the time I'd be kinda pissed too :swear There were litterally painted arrows on other peoples headstones saying "this way to Jim's" starting at the entry, and the closer you got the more graffitti there was As you can see there was a little when I was there, I've seen worst pics.

Like mentioned there were tons of grafittied cripts. I need to find the disk and post them it was a trippy experience.
