I don't just want a bolt on cage, I really want something that will protect us in a roll over. I'm told the bolt on cages do, and don't. Depends on the accident and so on. I want one that holds up. I also want much taller doors, and don't care if the rears open. My girls are back there. Any builders come to mind? Thinking chromoly for strength and weight savings. Need a spare tire and a jack. Really undecided on a windshield, windshield or no?

Devious Chris can get me a great deal on one of these packages and like the product but didn't see a lot of triangulation in the A,B, and C pillar. https://www.dgoffroadcenter.com/collections/frontpage/products/polaris-xp-4-1000-roll-cage his rzr is super nice, which lead me to this brand.

Also sort of a budget build, not looking to spend crazy money on a build, but willing to pay for great work and engineering.

Thank you for any input!!

When i picked up my TFBB cage they had a 4 seater in for insurance repair that rolled 6 times, only a few scratches on paint and that was it. Not fancy, not expensive, but works.

I think no matter what almost all the "bought" ones are going to be bolt on Andy. I really like what Barker is doing for Basil Hayden by making the bottom of the car as strong as the top, but that project has snowballed completely out of control.. It's not even a RZR anymore.

There's a couple shops in town that do custom fabrication, but I don't have any experience with them. Anything offroad, and there's a new place on the southside called something metal works? Drove by it yesterday.

RZR Images.jpg Hi Andy,

TMW in Mesa AZ built my car and the cage and doors are awesome. They do ship their cage and doors. Take a look at their website, they have plenty of examples of RZR's with their cage and doors. What I really like about the doors besides the fit and finish is they are hung on hinge pins and the doors lift right off for super easy cleaning. On the 4 door TMW also reverses the swing on the rear seat doors which makes getting in and out of the car much easier. Their windshield is also my favorite with the built in vents below the windshield to help move air in the car. Like everyone TMW can do intrusions bars on the front, I did not want them.

You won't be disappointed with DG. Great products and a good guy. We've been pleased with our cage and doors. I'm going to try and avoid the "roll test".

I have been using our 2016 RZR in the dunes more than expected and should put a nice cage on the car to make sure it holds up if I do something wrong. The more confidence you get the faster you go!!!!

I like cages that have been TIG welded together. The welds look cleaner and the tube notching fit has the be closer. Mines made by FU2.

Personally, I had a very bad experience with DG. The cage arrived with dings and scratches in it. It took almost a year for him to send a check for an amount that didn't come close to covering the damage. The powder coat on the roof peeled off after a few months as well. Beware... chances are you won't have an issue. But if you do, he proved to me he isn't trustworthy.

I have sold over 200 DG Cages, there have been very few issues.... And any issues we did have were taken care of.

Davin is certainly a trustworthy business owner.

Andy,

There are many great suggestions here and several different options for building your car.

I am a dealer for most of the brands listed here, and if I am not I will still do what I can to help. Your gonna love the finished product when your done.

Or you could always buy my car and I will build a new one[emoji41]

Andy,

Funny you ask, but I have a Rzr, cut and ready to be put back together just as you require, we should talk, you have my number.

My Mini Truggy is a Rzr no more, but will be insane when complete. In fact, the Rzr is ready to be rebuilt all major components including many upgrades are already in hand. Give me a call to discuss.

I'm glad to hear that has been your experience with him. Mine has been the exact opposite. After finally mailing me a check a year later after constant communication from me and his dealer BAD Motorsports, and a strong of broken promises, he sent me a check that covers a fraction of the issues with the cage... and it bounced. I'm sure I'm the exception, but it has been a horrible experience. I wish I had gone in a different direction. I have about 25 emails from BAD and myself if you want to see what we dealt with offline.

I am really sorry to see that you had such issues. If this is something that can still be resolved I'd be more than happy to assist in anyway I could.....

Well to be fair I was going to be done by the Fireworks show, guess I forgot to specify the year. But seriously while it is out of control almost to the point of our friends bronco, I really believe Eric is building a game changer of sorts. If nothing else he should garner some serious attention from those who want something special, safe and reliable. Just trying to figure what class we can enter it into, because it will have ridiculous capability, certainly beyond where I will drive it in my advanced age.

Of course I think you may have gone deeper with that new wakeboard boat that no one will let you use in Parker! :yikes But I bet you enjoy it.

No one in Parker will have a choice. Because unlike most down there I know how to drive anything and know when and where it should be done. If someone gives me shit they are most likely the clueless ones.

I can't wait to see your ride when it's done in...2...years...lol
