I am in the market for a portable table saw. I have looked at the big box stores and they all look like shit quality. Do to the limited amount of space I have to store it I need something that can be set up on a mobile stand, like a chop saw, and can be broken down.
Thanks I’m advance for the input.

I have the Rigid. Few years old but love it. Slow start up which keeps board from flying. Well balance. Can stand a quarter on its side without falling when on. Unfortunately I don't think the newest model is as good. Big plus to me would be ease of breakdown with stand and ability to load in truck by myself.

I got rid of my big saw a while back and after a bunch of research, settled on either the Dewalt or the Bosch....these had the best fences. I found a Bosch for $75 that needed some work...spent about $50 in parts and it's good as new. It works very nicely. All the other brands (I didn't look at Ridgid) have crap fences.

Neighbor friend has a Dewalt in Havasu works weLl. I have a Bosch in Hawaii and like it. A GC friend like the Mikita and swears by it. Buy the top of the line of each brand. They will do everything I need them to do. If that does not work them you need to spend over $1.000

I have a craftsman, my brother gave me.
Dado blade? Double whammy something or other... Sitting in the same spot for 15 years. Never needed it. A couple of big block cams sit on top of it. Approximately 12x12? Let me know if it's something you need.
Outside of Bullhead.

Thanks for the offer @mash on it but I live up in Idaho. I’m sure if you just wanted it gone or even a few bucks an inmate would help you with that.

I should add…if you do get a bosch, they seem to have a problem with the rear motor bearing locking up (it’s not sealed, just shielded…dust gets on it and draws the oil out of the grease). Then it spins in the silicone insulator and melts the motor housing. That was the problem with mine. Buy a 10 pack of sealed bearings on Amazon for $8, buy a new insulator for $5, and save yourself $50-60 and some downtime down the road…

My Makita will not allow use of a common dado set, needs a special part. Other than that I like it.

I have had a couple of the Bosch saws. Plus the rolling wheelie cart. Works well, never a problem with it. Kinda big and unwieldy, but I guess that is just the nature of a decent sized table saw. It holds dado blades easily.

We use saw stop for our shop machines. The added price for the AMAZING technology is easily worth it in my opinion. Our 2 Saw stops in our shop are working awesome. I imagine the portable is of similar build quality.

The next time we have a decently profitable year I'll be buying ALL of my installers the portable saw stop models, cheap insurance to keep workers comp low!
