Need major / minor diameters for both internal and external threads for 1 1/2-12.. Don't suppose anyone would happen to have those or k ow bow to calculate them?

Google

Pitch X .65 = Depth of thread
Pitch X .75 = Depth of cut(compound @ 29.5 degrees)
Depth = Pitch X .65
Minor Diameter = Major - 2 Depths of thread
Pitch Diameter = Major - 1 Depth of thread
Pitch = 1/N N= Number of threads

Example: 5 1/2 - 12 UN
1 5.495 Major Diameter
2 5.3868 Minor Diameter
3 5.4409 Pitch Diameter
4 .0833333 Pitch
5 .0625 Depth of cut
6 .0541 Depth of thread

Then there is this

The MACHINIST'S Practical Guide, a pocket reference book, published by Morse lists the following

1 1/2 - 12 = Major diameter inches 1.5000 Pitch diameter inches 1.4459 Root diameter inches 1.3917

All thread dimensions are given the same for internal or external. Taps and dies for cutting threads are slightly over or under sized so that a nut can be put on a bolt. A machinest cutting threads on a lathe is supposed to be smart enough to know how to deal with it.

Not what your thinkin.. This thread is bak from oct. Not sure why it was bumped today.

I never did come back and look at it again. Glad I did though. Lost again there's a little more to it then just "be smart enough to deal with it" but you will be glad to know it all worked out. Lol

River I'm finishing some parts tonight and that's up next. :)

That and 40's can ruin a day on the freeway. :thumbsdown

Nah Mel has it welded up good on the other side. That's one of two... The front uppers died on Rubicon and the front axle hit the pan also....:skull

Changed those out to Currie Johnny Joints, those are holding up quite nicely...

My Clayton system is full of Johnny Joints and zero issues. Excellent mod there for sure.

The bushings on the frame end have no zerk fitting. I have asked them a couple times how to service these and gotten no response. I guess you just have to knock them out, regrease and put them back together again? They say to lube them at every oil change.

LOL it's like Rubicon Express all over again...:skull

Lube them at every oil change. LOL Maybe they expect you to dump some of that used engine oil on them?

;)

These custom suspensions need more attention then one might think.
