The kid hit a rock and punctured the sidewall and I now see that tire is pushed back 2" compared to the other side.
Any ideas on what may be wrong?

Bummer

Hard to say without seeing it. The stock stuff is lightly stronger than a wedge of aged Wisconsin cheese.

We might still have a zero hour completely stock front end at the shop sitting in pieces as my Madigan build basically turned all that into a take off.

Got a pict?

U Dave

If I'm looking down inside the wheel well, the upper a arm isn't centered vertically with the lower. Almost like its rotated to the rear?

I have seen bent a-arms and the a-arm mounting bolts being bent. I have 3 of the 4 a-arms off a 2009 RZR 800. I took off when I did new long travel.

We've had guys roll into camp after hitting something or a witch eye.
If nothings bent or damaged you can re-adjust the alignment.
Look for the threaded bars with nuts on them.
You measure across from the inside of each rim with a tape.
That may be it.

This is somewhat similar:

I talked to the guys at the store and they said if the wheel was pushed back, most likely an a arm. I can't seem to see a bend with the a arm though.

Look at the a-arm right on top of the ball joint and look for cracked paint. If you are driving on dirt you shouldnt have a problem, street you could wear your new tires.

measure the A-arm bolt to the spindle on both sides of the spindle and on both sides of the car...
also look at the bottom of the frame and see if the frame is pushed in on the passenger side

John I have a flat trailer on the side of my place if you need to use it. My rzr is there too if you can't fix yours.

Driving on dirt you'll be OK. Streets will just cause the tire to wear a little more than the others. You either bent the spindle, an arm or the frame where the arms are mounted. Or a little bit of each of those. That sucks. Glad everyone is OK. Stuff can be replaced, people cant.

Ugh, guess I'll limp it down to the dealer.
Thank you though

Whole things cheesy out of the box.

The A Arms bend easy as been said from a sand shark/ witches eye / mild collision - and they bend when you land on one wheel from jumping - the spindles shear off easy as well.

Heres a pict of the parts off the car.

I was able to drive it to the dealer. They are going to look at the front end but he said nothing looked bent. They are gong to check the tie rods. Also said the 2" difference may be normal.
So much for trying out the new tires.

I'm glad you got it over safely.

2" is an acceptable amount of difference with regards to their finished product? Is that what they are telling you? That it's OK for the right front tire to be further forward or back when compared to the left front tire? That's awfully strange and doesn't sound right.

It sounds to me like someone who doesn't know much is trying to convince you that everything is OK with the car. It doesn't sound right to me, but I'm just a fellow RDP'er.

My front end on my Toyota truck isn't 2" off that's for damn sure. ;)

I'd push the issue if this were my situation Joker.

It's clear that it's 2" and he said the plastics on the rzr aren't ever perfect. I couldn't find anyone else here to take it to.

Bullhead on the parkway

In my experience the front section of the frame can bend causing this to happen. You could also have a bent A-arm or bent mounts. We have repaired several at my shop.

Dealer in bullhead says no parts are bent and they will try to align it. I honestly don't think they know what they're doing. I asked them about the frame and they seemed puzzled how to determine that.

The welds look different on each side of the frame. Like one is opened up?

To me it looks like they missed the joint originally?

I think you're right, 75% of the weld is off center.

The picture makes the weld look like its fractured or its just scratches from bushes, hard to tell.
