Scat packs are cool and you get alot for the $$$.

Honestly i would rather have a 8 speed scat pack in a race than a manual hellcat.

They are both about the same speed to 80 on the stock crappy tires Hellcats come with. 😂

Nice piece.

I'm thinking that 50 car pass record on Rice is in possible danger.
He never had the record...I believe I still hold the record passing an entire convoy out of 29 palms towing a boat with a 96 4runner....was probably in the left lane for 10-15 minutes lol.

Wish they made that one in a wide body, or a non-Hellcat special edition 392 or something similar in a wide body.

As our very own LOF would say, "Whipple it and make your own widebody Hellcat and save $50K" 👍

Prepare to have your mind blown..

They do make the 392 Scat Pack in a widebody. Both Charger and Challenger.
There is not a need to “Whipple it” Just buy the supercharged Hellcat version for $10K more and be done.

Thanks, have never owned a Dodge so they've been off my radar and the ones I saw while checking out the TRX were burdened with heavy dealer markups and they weren't wide body cars. But that dealer is known for his seemingly highly optimistic pricing, maybe he offers the special "Guido" financing for the unemployed ???

In the wide world of Dodge, they list the base MSRP price difference between the W/B Scat Pack and W/B Hellcat @ $ 24K+.

As I add a few nice options, the price seems to maintain at least a $ 20K spread, talking new of course. The main difference is, availability is by far better locally with WB Scat Tracs, in fact a few dealers have them marked down a couple of $K. The new and used WB Hellcats seem to continue to be market adjusted up and the only WB Hellcat I can find in San Diego is a Red Eye, at $ 97K, not sure what MSRP is.

Remember there are 3 HP levels for
The most part on Hellcats.

717 hp, this is the base hellcat engine that you can get it a very reasonable price always get a widebody and Durango and TRX.

787 HP, this is the next level up hellcat that’s available on the charger and challenger only.

There’s a jailbreak edition, which on charger or Challenger hellcat allow you to order, although all the orders of probably done for the year special interior and exterior options, not normally available.

Remember every last model and 2023 is labeled "Last Call" addition.

807 HP, this is the redeye option which allows everything, including the kitchen sink to be ordered, and this somewhat rare engine option . If you read deep into the details, this is not even the same engine as any other hellcat besides, being hand assembled the components instead of the engine are beyond belief a lot of money is spent by dodge to outsourced this hand built high $$ internals engine.

Play 807 hp edition is an instant collectible. This is something you want to keep for many many years I would highly recommend getting the extended warranty to cover you and do not modify this engine or drivetrain because they will void the warranty. Enjoy what you have.

My wheels are 12 inches wide with four and five piston brand Bose his car is absolutely sick and has a truck to fit four people for a drive-in theater at the technology side screen isn’t like other vehicles at 10 inch it’s old-school just enjoy the drivetrain

At 500 miles then 1000 miles, and ultimately 1500 miles, the computer on which is more horsepower and more RPM.

This is one step away from a drag racing engine with a full guarantee. The onboard computer system is very sophisticated, not in screen size, but its capability. It’ll record a quarter-mile times 8th mile times all G force line lock track lock, etc!!!!
These cars can burn the Pirelli P Zero’s to the cord in five minutes if you wanted to. There are videos online of burnouts in excess of 500 feet.

Who thought this would ever happen when a 1975 Corvette had 180 hp! Love technology.

Google it and take a look at what they did to build this high horsepower engine. It’s crazy expensive they probably lose money long-term on everyone that built but it’s all about bringing in for traffic.

IF you an swing one, buy it and NEVER sell it. Lambos are a thrill, but this is shear American HP, likely never to be seen again. Own a piece of history

Yea since it is so close to the end of the run it seems they have eliminated the “regular” Hellcat. It was $66k last year. You can only get the Jailbreak now.

Maybe they are loosing money on that single engine and development stream, but a Chrysler engineer shared that the 3.6 Pentastar V6 costs more to produce than the entire Hellcat engine, including the supercharger.

Interesting factoid.

Did I read correctly that 2023 will be the end of the Challengers ? That could keep their prices up as well. I was wondering about only seeing the Jailbreaks.

This is the last year for Chargers and Challengers. The platform is derived from the early 2000s E class Mercedes.

Interesting, wasn't aware of that. Guess my Anti-Mopar muscle car youth kinda stuck with me throughout the years. Dug my '67 396SS El Camino, and followed that with my '68 428CJ Cougar, Mopars were the cross-town rivals. 🤣
