91X online, greatest station of all time if you grew up in the 80' and 90's in SD or OC and not into top 40 or glam rock...

Liked Styx a lot in high school. Too bad Tommy Shaw shows his liberalness though.
I missed the Paradise Theater tour by that much, but saw them on the Return to Paradise reunion tour.

Funny, I was watching a video the other night with lead man Lawrence Gowan...damn, he's good. I guess him and Styx have history together.

Check out this guy's YT channel, a large number of cool videos. He must see concerts full-time, lol, and it's a great channel.

He even has Judas Priest from last week in LA

I’m sure you know when I’m in a mood I listen to Judas Priest on the regular. I haven’t seen this.
It’s kind of sad. Rob is looking old and Glenn’s been away for a while due to Alzheimer’s I think.
Ian looks like he ain’t giving no shits after 40 years or so.

I had the first Cars album on vinyl, late 70s.
Don’t recall off hand if this was first album or second.
First, The Cars. One of the best records ever. I have the rest of their vinyl, need that one.

This one is different; it kept me awake last night. It kept replaying over and over in my head while sleeping.

At my second job I'm sometimes tasked with finding heirs to people who recently died. I was using Facebook to connect/establish family ties and I stumbled on a video of the deceased. He was on his death bed (literally died the next day) and his daughter and wife held a phone up close to him so all three could sing this song together, one last time. The daughter and mom's voices were spectacular, the kind you do a double-take when heard. Of course, he tried to sing, but I can only imagine what the three sounded like when he was healthy.

Anyways, Al Wilson

I’ve been to Cabo once. We went to Cabo Wabo. Middle of the week so wasn’t hopping.
I’d love to be there with Sammy and crew rocking the place.
Some day.
They play the Catalina wine mixer lol. Not sure what it’s called but they have jammed out there the last couple years. Can’t think of his new bands name at the moment.

Very touching story. 🙂

As I was listening to the song it reminded me of Lou Rawls “ You’ll never find a love like mine” which I love. And it came up next once the Al Wilson song was done. Sent me done the YouTube rabbit hole of 70’s soul. A couple of the ones that always stood out to me.

Not a better version of this song. It actually angers me it doesn’t go any louder.

I would argue the Live8 performance. Gilmour doesn't stumble on the guitar and it's Pink Floyd

I can kick myself in the ass for not going to that Roger Waters tour when it rolled thru LA though, big ass wall, just like the old days.

Yes, no, maybe? 😃

Right on, that's a cool hole to fall into. Wifey knows every word of Show and Tell, but in our 35-years together I never heard her sing to it. WTF? lol

She grew up with a liberal mom, I grew up with a conservative pops listening to oldschool country. Maybe that explains it.

From one of the best albums ever, The Cult, Electric.

When I graduated HS my first big investment was a $2K stereo system. It was so loud I could bounce a glass of water off the speaker listening to Lil Devil'. Electric was also one of the first CD's I ever bought.

I still have the same system, sans the speakers.

Remember when people thought you were a freak for liking Boingo?

WTH, is that the guy from Schitt's Creek?
