Sometimes I see screen names and think about where or how that person came up with that name. Some are pretty self explanatory, others are like WTMFA? :D So, what is the evolution of your screen name?

My first name is hard to pronounce, it's spelled wonky, and looks foreign. So my friends have always just called me 'B'. My married (now divorced) last name was Havens. So it was kinda fitting "MissBHaven" :skull :missb: SHortened since then to MissB

I know there have been threads like this before, but I'm too lazy to search, and we have some new members. ;)

SO let's hear it!!

I think mine is fairly easy to get. :skull But my previous screen name was inspired by always dreaming about being in Havasu while at work.

Mine started out as GRADS2112 which became GRADS2009 because GRADS2112 got banned. GRADS2009 got banned so I became SH411 "the gay boater" and then that ended ugly. I was then Sir Osis of the River and that got banned. I was then Tim Black and that got banned. Then I was Chine Walker and that got banned......it goes on and on but the end result was I ended up being GRADS. :D

I owned a Sleekcraft Jet boat. Of I would have known I would have this internet "handle" for so long it would have been something different. My wife still refers to me as "Sleek" on facebook.

Wish You Were Here.

In use WELLLLLLL before there was the interweb, or BBS boards for that matter.

I bought my first coach when I was 18. My group of friends were going to Glamis and the river every other week for several years. Most of them were sleepin in their cars or the bed of their trucks freezing their asses off in the wind or cold, or rain, or sweating their ass off in the summertime at the river.

I had a motorhome. :)

So it more or less meant "You Wish You Were Here"

Played a little football &baseball in my younger days.
I happened to be the fastest of a bunch of slow white guys.
Played center field & safety.
....coaches in both sports would literally go hoarse yelling at me to 'playdeep'.

Guess they got tired of watching opposing players run by me or hit balls over my head...

After I graduated college in 2001, I had to create my first personal email (used myname.uci.edu before) So I came up my name from Chevelle Small Block 406. Not the easiest name to remember or say, if I would have known back then to pick something easier, but have used it as log ins and forum names forever. Engine is bigger than a 406 these days too, so completely pointless name :grumble: This is the car.

When I was a little kid I was chunky and kind of a bruiser so my dad nicknamed me " CHARLYOX".. My name is Danny. Go figure. Anyway right when I got my last boat my dad passed away. So in tribute to him I put CHARLYOX on the back of it and made my hot boat at/ RDP screen name. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1463788588.882175.jpg

The first forum I ever participated in was a cigar forum, and I went by "BarneyFly" on that one. (That is a really stupid story how I came up with that).

Later, I joined the performance boats forum, and I had to come up with a name. I didn't want to use "BarneyFly" cause it was just dumb. I didn't really think I would be around the board that long (I quickly got bored with the cigar forum), so I just picked "scouter" because I own 2 International Harvester Scouts. I ended up being on PB for awhile (still am, but don't really go over there much) and then eventually joined this board. I just kept the same stupid name that I had on PB.

Maybe I should have stuck with "BarneyFly"...... :headscratch:

When I first got the boat it was set-up all wrong and rode like shit through chop unless you plowed it barely on plane. I couldn't do that so I had my foot into more so than I probably should and that prop was out of the water a lot. And the boat is a Lavey Craft so.....

Btw, boat rides and runs MUCH better now. Lol!

I am toyotadan on the off-road forums. When I joined this forum River Dan was the first name that came to mind as the Parker strip is where we boat.

Pengo was the nickname given to me by my fraternity. Every time I walked into a party... They would yell Yo Pengo! Also the Greek letters of our chapter looked like YO.

Not my bug.
