I can't remember the thread name. What was giving the best results? Lucas or Amzoil?

They all miss one statement on the packaging that would help their sales:
"Will Not Harm Catalytic Converters".

If they would put that on the label, they would most definitely see a boost in sales.

Especially with the new Cat equipped Mercury motors in the 2011 boats.
Like talking to your hand,, it'll never happen.

Hurt my motor this weekend a little and was running STP because that was the only brand available... Bad lesson... :grumble::grumble::grumble:

Lucas answered that the last time Ross. It will not harm your catalytic converter. That was straight from the chemist at lucas in the previous thread.

Lucas actually raised the octane a full 3 points.. Most the other say 3 points, but are actually referring to 3 tenths of a point.

I get mine from the gas station in simi valley on the corner of LA and first st. Next to the Burger king. They sell race gas in 5 gallon pales.

My point is they need to State that that on the Label and it would probably help sales.

I've heard and read allot of good things about Torco's Accelerator. There is a woman here locally that boats with us. She has been trying to get us samples.

Im not a rep. I've used Lucas. Lucas works ok.

Here is a link to read about Torco http://torcoracefuel.net/pro-accelerator.html

lucas hands down, use it all the time in Harleys as the single hose pumps at gas stations hold probably at least 1.5 gallons of whatever was pumped last in the lines etc, if you are only pumping 3 gallons of gas into your bike you have now cut half of your 91 octane with 87, a few ounces of the Lucas 'A Real Octane Booster' and no more pings. I know from first hand experience that the stuff works great. Before i used to let one of my buddies pump their gas first, then i'd sneak in after they were done with that pump so it was primed with 91, now i don't worry, i just carry a bottle.

Lucas actually raised the octane a full 3 points.. Most the other say 3 points, but are actually referring to 3 tenths of a point.

Octane point = 0.1
Octane number = 1.0

Octane number is related to volume, since octane can only be "so concentrated".
So for example, there wouldn't be a way for a drop of octane boost to do much of anything to a large volume of fuel.

If Lucas' Octane Booster raises octane by "numbers" and not "points" then they definitely have a leg-up on almost every other booster out there :thumbsup

I'll have to give it a shot next time I need some...I've only used Torco in the past.
