Driving up through NV and ID and all the stations sell it. Why not in CA, at least not in Southern CA that I've seen?

Yes, that's where we encounter it.Isn’t that limited to high altitude gas stations?

They do that, I'll be getting tankers of vegetable oil to run the truck on.I'm surprised Ca hasn't banned all motor fuel in the state.

That's what i always though, usually the only time you see 85 Octane is above 3,000 feet or so in areas of wide spread altitude above that point, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, etc, etc,
It probably has more octane and less junk in it than the CA 87. CA gas is formulated full of pixie dust and rainbowsIn my wife’s Grand Cherokee i swear it runs better with the Utah 85, as well gets way better mpg.

Just to clarify here, are we talking about 85 octane or E-85 fuel because there is a beig difference.
There working on it , believe me, San Francisco is banning all petrol fueled delivery vehicles in city limits we're looking into electric trucks in the next couple of months to operate there.I'm surprised Ca hasn't banned all motor fuel in the state.
I thought it had exactly to do with altitude. That's what i always though, usually the only time you see 85 Octane is above 3,000 feet or so in areas of wide spread altitude above that point, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, etc, etc,
What does the 94 translate to,in today's exchange rates? Lol!
