Im looking for Snap On roll cab preferably red, maybe blue, one of the longer ones like a 55 inch.

Anyone looking to step up to a bigger box or downsize to a smaller one?

Just seeing what is out there.

I have to say, as a long time Snap On box and tool owner. When I recently wanted to replace my work bench with a bottom box for the drawer storage, I went to Harbor freight (yes I know...) There tools are shit to me and disposable, one time if you are lucky use type shit.

I ended up getting their 72" box and dig it! Nice ball bearing guides, seems very heavy duty, for $1,200 I could not beat it.

Just throwing it out there, don't beat the shit out of me... ;)

I am the farthest thing away from a harbor freight guy, but thanks for the suggestion nonetheless. I appreciate it bud.

I had to take the casters off, it was too tall for me to use as a bench......

Looks nice. I would feel dirty.

Im more about MAGA, and less about buying Chinese knock offs.

I haven't been on that site in awhile. The box would need to be somewhat local, since logistics would be a mfer, did you notice any in CA?

I agree 100%. I try to whenever possible. I have also heard that Snap on is importing a lot more of their stuff also, (Blue Point?).

Blue Point has always been their lower line, it may or may not be imports. I don't have any recent Blue Point tools. ;)

Sweet deal, I certainly appreciate it. Dang, I don't know what to say.

You are right, Havasu would be the biggest issue. That one is in the 70s long I think, I have its blue cousin with the full length drawers. Pretty long for where I was thinking of its placement. I will have to run a tape and possibly rethink the program. The price is certainly right. I am humbled sir. Thank you.

The yellow is certainly different, I wonder how would she feel being the odd duck with Kennedy and red and blue SnapOns? :)

My Dad actually asked me yesterday about selling his box. I purchased it new in 1997, it's a 761 series bottom box, red, with a 1001 series top box, I think 1985. He wants 2800 for both. Not sure if he wants to separate them but I will ask. I'll have him send photos. Located in La Verne.

I think the 761 is what IMA lookin for, the 1001 seems like another bottom box...

If he can send photos I would appreciate it.

He will send pics when he gets home, pm me a cell number if you want them texted directly. The top box is the same foot print as the bottom, and about 18" tall. Ill see if he can get the model number.

That may work out good. I am interested in the drawer config.

Yes sir, please. My Snap On guy is waiting on a trade in and a repo, but after a couple weeks, I am wanting to get the area better organized and shit is overflowing.

I'm going to play devils advocate here for a minute. If you buy a used Snap-on box your not doing anything to stimulate the american economy. It does nothing to help manufacturing nor does it help keep anyone employed. On the other hand if you buy that new Harbor freight box you are giving at least part of the sales price to an american company, helping to keep Americans employed and ending up with a brand new box. If you were buying a new Snap-On box then I would say that you have a valid point about buying american made but a used purchase seems to be defeating the idea.

I am all for supporting American companies and buying good quality tools but... Snappy screws their customers on the prices of the boxes. I don't mind paying a premium, but their prices on their boxes are "FU, because we can" prices. I can't even imagine the profit margin on those things. Want me to support you? Don't rape me for wanting to do the right thing.

Here's a little some thing else to consider when beating the Snap-On drum. Don't bet to heavily on that tool being "made in America."

Thank you for contacting Snap-on Tools.

Our corporate headquarters as a whole decided instead of putting emphasis on where the item was made they chose to just emphasis the Snap On name that it speaks for itself. Everyone knows they are getting a high quality item when purchasing from Snap On Tools. Hope this is the answer you were looking for. If you would like to provide the item number you have I can look to see what the country of origin is. Have a good day.

Thank you,

So buy something else. Pretty simple.

They are very different than even the best from Craftsman or husky or whomever else you choose, sir.

The money I use to buy a used box gets what....? Thrown away from the seller?

For reals Rajo?

You realize the economy is multi-faceted, right?

If it fits in the back of a truck I can bring it to you Brian. I'm doing quite a bit of back and forth coming up with more shop tours etc.. Would give me an opportunity to see your shop as well.

That box is in the 70 inch range so it will take up the whole bed.

I am currently looking to see if that long of a box will fit where I was planning on placing it. I was originally thinking of a 55 inch box.

....and I have to see if I can get over the yellow. ;)

I do appreciate the offer, mighty kind of ya.

Try and find a KRL over a KRA. Also look for a 30" deep box which I think all the KRL's are? It is a huge difference in space. If your going for a 72" box I sure like mine that has the full width top two drawers. I have one 48" KRA, One 54" KRL and a 72" KRL. Overall the KRL is a much better box. All of mine I have bought used but they look and appear new. Paid about 1800 for the 48" KRA. 3000 for the 54KRL with stainless top and $4500 for the 72" KRL, with top hutch, stainless top and full height 24" side locker. Those prices seam to come up somewhat often if you are dilligent on watching craigslist.
