Tsunamis are created by the lifting of the sea floor that displaces the entire column of water above it. While that bomb no doubt created some big waves for that local beach they would be dissipated relatively quickly due to their limited depth.

Admittedly, this isn't information I carry in my aging noggin, yet found the subject interesting enough to take a minute, scrounge up a few specifics and share them with the group. I'm really not sure why you'd find that offensive and I haven't a clue what an "AV" guy is or what he posts that you obviously find offensive as well.
