Again - To each their own. Have you ever considered the point of view of a believer is “the worst thing that can ever happen may be the best thing that can happen?” Puts ones short life on this planet here into perspective.

I take your point I see where you're coming from and I hope you pull it off.

I enjoy living too much to think that.
House paid off, dipping my wick in a hot wife 1/3 younger. All the positions.
Havana Club Rum at the Green Parrot.
Full throttle runs across the dunes.
Over tipping the bartenders at Fox's.
Watching the grandkids ride the Huff n Puff RR at Knotts.*

People that survive jumping off the Golden Gate bridge are always asked what their first thought was when they leaped. "I immediately regretted jumping" is the common answer. I wager the jumpers that died think the same thoughts.

People in the ER as the nurse shoves that 220V bicycle pump up their ass, the hollowed out #8 Rattail bastard file catheter down their dick, and the wet vac hose down their gullet will think the same type regret about not getting the vaccine.
The vaccine needle is 1/20th less dia than the 4 In n Out size shake straws they jab into your wrist in the ER as they bag & zip up the corpse in the gurney next to you.

*Think of your loved ones:

Absolutely- Live as if there is no tomorrow. Now that you understand others perspective, what you described in your first post to a believer is the work of mr. kill, steal and destroy....and it won’t.
Not contradicting you nor disagreeing - more power to ya. I take your point.

This virus will do a U Turn, develop dirty tricks and head back to glean out those it missed and aren't vax'd.
Then, it'll do it again.

It's only missions on earth are:
1: Survive
2: Kill as many people as it can.

,,,,and it will.

You do realize it won't prevent you from getting it it just lessons your systems? Hence not a vaccine like polio, hepatitis etc.
Actually it does. 95% effective. The 5% chance you do get a case; the symptoms are minimized. Those are also the same percentages for polio and hepatitis vaccines you cite.

For some it’s not a choice. That’s a problem. It was a forced retirement

My whole family is in need to get my Grandpa (82 Year Old River Rat) the Vaccine.

Good chance that the Covid would take him out real quick. He's fricken been around too many people that have had it.

We got an appt scheduled for the 1st week of March, but IMO, that is too long away.

Is there anyone out there that can help out and get my Grandpa a sooner appointment? Once again he's 82 (turns 83 in March) and IMO needs this Vaccine so the Covid doesn't take him out. I've already lost other close people and don't want to loose my best friend. We'll go just about anywhere at this point to get him the vaccine.

Thanks!
I should of read this thread sooner. My Sisters work had 35 extra and offered it to family and friends over 65. My Grandma got 1. I will ask her if any more coming up. Company got them for all employees Moderna.

My Mom works at the VA hospital. So got it. Second shot over a week ago and still out. They gave them 2 extra days of sick pay. Now a week of vacation. She feels better but her throat has been jacked up so She sounds sick. They don't want anyone working there sounding sick. Think she goes back to work Monday. First shot was nothing. Day after Second shot she slept in next day. Back to work tge 3rd day and by 4th day sent home from work. Maderna.

Do you have a link is that new info? If it is that's good news for the people taking it. I was going of the cdc from a few months ago.
Good if I'm wrong I thought 95% to reduce symptoms or none at all but you can still contract the virus.

Good news hope I'm wrong!

Some of the 5% is thought to be false negatives before the trial began.

So, Mohave County opted on Friday to increase the 1B vaccination phase, as of Wednesday 17 Feb, to include all of those 65+ and continue to provide for the Snowbirds. That's a huge increase in numbers. Maybe they're expecting a significant increase in vaccine amounts provided to the county by the state. They're going to need it.

State changed my 2nd vaccine date to exactly 21 days. Got it Thursday morning.

Definitely more sore in the arm than the first dose but that is probably the person doing the injection.

Did have a little headache on Thursday afternoon but nothing a scotch couldn’t fix Thursday night.

Besides a little soreness for a day and a little headache, no big deal.

State Farm stadium is super organized. In and out in 30 minutes including the 15 minute hold after the injection.

Sepsis and Pneumonia are hard to treat. Ask any ER nurse you know.
It's what kills ya, not the Covid.

He just had a new valve put in a couple weeks ago. He couldn't even get a vaccine out at the Hospital in OC that did the surgery.

We've tried the telephone #'s, websites, APPS, etc. without much luck. The Vaccine in March was somewhat a relief, but that's still a month out.

My Grandma was able to get her 1st dose a couple weeks at a Ralph's Pharmacy (Who woulda guesses) in El Segundo .

Have you tried making an appt in PHX? I saw on the news that because we get so many snow birds, they are giving the vaccine to anyone who makes an appt. Might be worth a shot.

Got the second Pfizer shot yesterday.

Absolutely no side effects at all today. I was fully expecting to have the flu for a couple of days.

Other than the scheduling issues, it was very non-traumatic.

BINGO!
If it's Bacterial then it's very treatable, hence the ZPACK and HCQ from the onset of symptoms

Nurses call it Tumor Necrosis Factor.
8 to 12 hours after Sepsis sets in.
You know it's bad when they start pumping Interleukin 2 into your system.

If you watch the Huell Howser Lindberg light episode he's escorted by a guy name Bob Hunter.
Bob contracted colon cancer same time I did. Early stage - treatable.

I went a few blocks away to USC and got chemo and surgery. Bob read that drinking Licorice root extract and eating blanched Pecans will cure it. Bob skipped chemo.
I'm sitting here typing this.
Bob's cancer ate it's way up his ass and Bob is now laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery about 300 ft away from Curly Howard.

Beware of Snake oil cures.

Reading all these side effects post vaccine scare the bejesus out of me. I better up my life insurance because if I get the vid I plan on dying if the HCQ does not work. It will be interesting to circle back on this thread in a couple of years. This is a good sample of vax versus non vaxxers. May the odds be in your favor.

Its comes down to this.
Do you want to inject a synthetic, or chemically produced component product (mRNA) that has been okay'ed for a FDA EUA now?
Or ...wait for the upcoming protein based vaccine(s) with the same or better efficacy pending a FDA EUA?
Or......stay with what you believe works for you under your "opinion" and your "right"?
Every single option is a shot in the dark regardless.

I’ve posted it before , the virus has man made synthetics in it from the get go.
Regardless if you get the vaccine or not, it is what it is.

Thanks.
I appreciate your efforts.
I do a lot of information gathering.
That's what this thread was intended for, it's gotten a little off track a couple of times (not far) but for the most part the inmates have done pretty damn good. Glad it's stayed in the lounge for everyone to see since some avoid the Dungeon like the plague.

I got the Moderna shot on 2/6, just some soreness at the injection site for about 24 hours. No other symptoms. Will report back on March 6 when I receive my 2nd shot.
Where you been Angie?
Wife was asking about you just this past week.

This thread is for first hand info on the vaccine and it's side effects, it is not for news articles or opinion so please keep them out.

If you have received the vaccine or a close family member has please post up their side effects.

•What vaccine- Moderna
•Shot sight (how it looks/feels)- like I had no shot
•What side effects you/they had and how bad they were- 1st dose- moderately sore upper arm for about 8 hours, beginning about 8 hours after I got the shot.
2nd dose due 2/27

•What ever other info you/they feel pertinent
•Age/rough age (doesn't have to be exact)- 49 5/6. Hanging on to my 40’s by a thread. 😄

Most of my employees who have gotten it have called off for 2-3 days after second dose. Complaining of super high fevers, sweating, and headaches. These are guys that dont normally call out. Pfizer on all instances.

Great news. Last night, My dad was talking to his buddy at the gym who has a hook up and landed my grandpa his 1st Moderna Vaccine shot this morning at CSULA. Now my grandpa just has to hopefully steer clear of this shit for another month and he'll have a better chance at not catching this Chinese crap!

Yuma, hey bud, this isn't my thread, not the OP, but this isn't the place for injection of this material.
This thread is for posting your experience after having participated in the immunization process.
When this thread was created, the OP made this simple request, show respect and please honor it.
Thanks

Ahhh crap, was doing an informal poll and it seemed Pifizer was showing milder side effects --- oops.

Just information shared on a boating website. I take back my “Good Luck” wishing you well comment.

You're like a child; people disagree with your opinion and you can't handle it. LISTEN TO ME LISTEN TO ME LISTEN TO ME.

A troll is what you are. Go waste your time in the dungeon.

But that's not supposed to be in this thread, it supposed to be personal info about the vaccine, I would like this thread to remain in the lounge because some inmates avoid the Dungeon completely and this is actual information from people we trust about side effects, not what the media wants us to hear.
