I have the X2 Callaway irons 4ir-pw. I don't like hybrids.. I love the irons. I

Ping 410 driver. Great driver.

The sheep are cool. Hard to beat being on a course. 10 years ago I had zero interest in golf father in law gave me his old clubs 3 years ago took me almost a year before I hit a range.
Now enjoy it.

Motrin and stretching is your friend. If you have Instagram check out Shaun diachkoff. He has some pretty cool stretches that are golf related. My flexibility is pretty bad. They seem to help out.

Went other day had my best but some chokes lol it’s a simple par 63 course ended up a 79 back nine holes I can par or bogey well but ended with 6 pats and 2 birdies I gotta work in so cal this week mom lives 5 min from arroyo Trabuco do May squeeze in a round.

Late to the thread; just seen it.

Got to play El Dorado down in Felipe over Memorial Day. We take the families and hide down there to avoid the MDSS on the water.

Beautiful course for being in the desert and on the beach, hot, humid and hungover. Started at sunrise over the Sea of Cortex which was nice. Shot an 86 and delay I earned every shot!

Definitely a must if you can while your south of the border.

I have been wondering about the condition of El Dorado in San Felipe. This is great to see real pics. It looks in decent shape. Google satellite photos show it pretty brown...

The three day Member-Guest tourney at El Camino was pretty fun. Thursday was a practice round. Got into a little trouble on two holes and blew what would have been a really good round for me, still shot an 89. The greens there are wicked fast and flat spots are rare. If you aren't a regular, good f*cking luck. Pin placements were brutal too. A downhill putt would slide a few feet extra, or sometimes 10 feet extra.

Friday we played two man teams in flights. We played three 9 hole matches, went 13-5, 12-6 then a squeaker 10-8 against a couple great golfers from New York. Saturday we pushed the first match 9-9 then barely won the second 10-8. This put us in first place for our flight.

Then my partner tells me about the playoffs. There's freaking at least a hundred people now watching us tee off, approach, chip and putt out. I had never played in front of so many people. It was crazy. Like a pro am or something. Being this was a total surprise to me, I was kind of freaked out. I didn't pull my weight on these sketchy fast greens, so we didn't get too far in the playoffs. It was still fun though.

Most of the members know each other, so the heckling was heavy.

They're back? They had them cleaned out a few months back when I was there.

I was worried that place would go even further downhill with the news of the upcoming closure. Its a bummer because it could be a fun course.

520 yard, driver 250 just into the left rough, and a very surprising 270 3 wood to the center of the green, 30+ foot putt that took a peak down inside the cup as it passed and stoped within a foot.

We play David L Baker all the time. The wife likes it because they will send us out alone. She's just starting out and gets self conscious when we get paired with randoms.

Westin Firecliff Course. Went in the Pro Shop to check in at 2:00 he said I was Brave to go out. 110 degrees!
Someone else was Brave, only saw 1 other cart out there. Literally ran out of gas around the 15th hole playing 2 balls a hole.

If I start good I may keep score but otherwise I don’t. I just know If I sucked or did good. Easier to have fun that way.

Played the Westin Mountain Course the next day, mid-'90s with a nice breeze was a lot more tolerable, and played much better. then the day before. $47.00 both days, can't beat the price, just a wee bit warm.
