I grew up in Michigan City, IN. Just under half my life at this point. My time there is straddled by time in Vegas which is where I am now.

Short story of when I first showed up in M.C. it was Jan 1992 so cold and snowy. My new step brothers and I head down to Lake Michigan and are climbing on what at the time I thought were just snow/ice covered earth. Come to find out we are probably 50-75 yards into Lake Michigan and are playing on frozen waves. We were all one year apart at 10, 11 and 12 and I've always been the more adventurous out of us three so I don't think they actually new the risk we were in. That next spring I was surprised to see just how far I was out into the water and I remember thinking of what could happen if one of us fell through a pocket. Needless to say, that scared the shit out of me. We would still go out there in the winters to come but I vividly remember keeping it close to where I thought the shore was. Here are a few pics I found on the net to help illustrate.

Guess no one claims residency since the Green Bay Packers lost, again. Hang in there for the best cause Arizona is closed.

It's 58* here in San Diego this morning. I'm pissing and moaning cuz I have to wear long pants and a sweatshirt. I have the little electric heater under my desk keeping my feet warm. LOL

Mind if I ask who?
I have a couple to see on the way up but my turn around point is ProPower in Sullivan... I have one closer to Chicago and another towards Milwaukee... It is a long drive up and hopefully around a 5 1/2 hour drive back to Indy... Makes for a long drive but always worth it! I just checked and Sullivan is supposed to have a high of 19 while bright and sunny!

Woodstock IL. About 10 miles from the Wi. Border or the chain.
As Activated said. "Nice place to be from". I swore I would only be here a few years. It's been 18.
The biggest thing in Woodstock when I lived out that way was Farm & Fleet.....Soooo worth the drive though, one of the last man stores.

I wish for the life of me I could remember John’s last name. He owned advantage transmissions, guy was a genius. Built boats (and other things if you know what I’m talking about)from scratch in his shop. Super cool old timer.

Blarney Island? Had a good friend in college from Antioch
I may have been seen at Blarney’s once or twice! I do miss bar hopping on the chain, lots of cool joints and good folks. Some real ass hats too

Midwest chapter checking in. We live in northern Illinois on Grass lake part of the chain o lakes. Last week I was in Hulas territory visiting friends in Edgar Wi. How cool is it that we meet on a web site from the west coast.

Alright then, with our recording secretary @TripleB taking roll call,
I as midwest chapter president would like to call this meeting to order.

I'd like to welcome everyone back.

Anyone care to read back the minutes from our last meeting?

Yup, plus any true San Diegan will have his seat heaters going on the way to work in the AM once it dips below 60 --- True Grit Baby
