Easier said than done, but try to get the most out of the rehab and you'll be back in no time. Best time for boating is late summer early fall, I'm sure you'll be ready.

Good to see that things are moving forward albeit not as fast as you’d like. Keep yore head up and you will get this handled and on the water before you need it. 👍 You got this!!!!!

Don't know much about the cardiac overhaul, but Fuk kidney stones!
Well, maybe it'll get your mind off the other stuff;)

Keep it rolling, slow forward movement is better than no movement.

When the tubes came out and I pooped they sent me home, no rehab of any type. They just told me to walk every day until breast bone healed. Maybe because I hand mine done 4/2020 just when covid shit started they just wanted me out of there.

Same for me.
Walking. Even just to the front gate.
(Front gate is ~250 feet. Made it half way the first day home.)
And stairs. Nothing crazy, just up and down a flight of stairs.
Worked up to a quarter mile walk within a month.
Keep pushing yourself a little bit.
Hydration is key.
Get a routine for your heart/BP meds, too.
DON'T OVERDO IT.
Never give up.

So if we mix in a little nitrous, would that help you do PT faster, or happier?
🤔
To reduce the possibility of a catastrophic damage shouldn’t we start with turbo or supercharger? Thinking about maybe we should start with a good old kick in the rear.

@River Runnin I hope that my posts are not offending. just trying to keep things lite 👍

Sounds like they already started with the "extrude hone" process on the internals...
He already has one bottle, just adding one more;)

Thank you Amy & Joel for your thoughts and reminder to update for those that have been so supportive. June 2 I had the open heart, having a pretty rough go, I spent the better part of the month in ICU. I then spent the better part of July in inpatient rehabilitation. With such an Awesome view from the Condo Rehab you’d think I’d be all over getting up and out ASAP! — And I am! — but I hate to report me old body, isn’t cooperating to well! Still hanging in there though! — more appointments coming up soon!

was sure hoping by now I could report a positive update. I have In home therapy (likely extending) for a few more days. I’ve been to Dr. appointments several times since my last update. Talked to a few friends that have been through the same thing! — CABG -- it appears I’m one of those that have been through this surgery that could take upto a year to recover. Retaining too much fluid, and had a Med increase to work on it. Even with the work im doing, and therapy the fluid is really holding my progress back. Doing my daily exercises I still think positive! Thinking I should be further along, it not hard to go the other way at times! — But! Still plugging away! 🙂

I know every case is different, but when my 75year old BIL had open heart for an aortic aneurism and valve replacement, he started failing a few weeks later. After draining his lungs or chest cavity a few times, they installed drains and about 3 weeks later he was making a very good turn around. They removed the drains a few weeks later and now after about 5 months he's pretty much back to normal. I can't imagine how hard it must be, but hang in there, I wish you the best.

Well back on June 2nd I had a triple bypass. Friday sure coulda been a better day, well I guess it was, I was sprung from the hospital! On the 12th when the Dr. comes in and tells me what he found after the angiogram. I Guess I have a pretty strong heart muscle but 1 of the 3 graphs totally blocked up. Any attempt to repair and most likely I’d be knocking at the pearly gates! Takin it a day at a time of course! — still gonna work towards that boatin life again mates!

Bob, any updates on your health? How are you feeling?

@River Runnin
Well Dan! & inmates…. Besides having to stay on O2 24/7 and starting rehab From scratc, they’re going to put a monitor in my heart (through groin) for checking pressures.I’m still very weak trigger A-fib with just about any act— standing up, walking, anything. The doctor’s and home rehab gals say I’m doing fine!
——- can’t say I’m real convinced! But I’m hanging in there a day at a time, and positive as I can!

Keep pluggin' away at it!

I have a buddy who has something like you're talking about, some type of telemetry doodad, looks like a clock radio, but is Bluetooth and updates him and the doctors. Some tech is pretty cool.

Hope you start to feeling better. Keep a good attitude!

Updates? Hope there good ones!
I’d like nothing else but to report I'm doing much better. The setbacks sure hurt me. I’m still getting home rehab, and doing the best I can at it! still have to use O2 24/7 and unsure when I’ll be able to start cardiac rehab. I have to use my electric chair when going out with tank of O2, so still can’t drive. Next on my list is a portable O2 unit! (About 3K for the one I’m looking at) and I Will start driving!! They want me to walk 500 feet before having to rest! Did 275 today, I did one 500 just before my Setback blockage! Anyway thank y’all again for your positive thoughts and support! :)

Appreciate the check in, lots of us pulling for you. Keep posting even if just to say you had a tough day, or better yet, a great day.
