Project 24 I/O

[Outdrive1]

I'll start a new thread since all my other threads are muddied up with a bunch of questions and other boat pics in them.

Here's what I'm starting with.

The boat is getting capped, new graphics, swim step filled in, new windshield, new interior and carpet, Bimini top, gauges, billet trim tanks and battery boxes, new stereo, some new hardware, and probably a handful of other shit.

It's at Islander now for the gel work. Schiada has the interior.

The sample of the colors are still on vinyl, it will be similar to those colors but not exact. The stripes on the side will be different as well as the transom.

That's just grinding it out for the cap. There wasn't any previous damage to it.

I think tabs are enough on a boat like this. This boat actually has the big swim platform, and custom Schiada billet steps. It had billet steps on it, Lee changed it out to the big platform for skiing so it comes with both. I would be able to switch them out since they use the same brackets. But Since I have to redo the transom I thought I might as well fill the holes in and remove it and see how it looks without it. I can always add them back on at a later time I guess.

Last 2 pics, one is the back of your boat, the other is the back of Tonys. your has some weird build out, best we could figure was that some work was done back there to accommodate the stainless rub rail. IMO its got to go because it detracts from the capped effect.

If you look on the outdrive you will see a nice clean tape line where it was bagged, just pointing that out before the shiada posse throws a rod of unacceptable practices LOL

contrary to popular belief these boats can get wet to and survive the experiance just fine

Im just trying to clean this thread up! Tape and plastic are cheap...

Everything is always bagged when the boat is in the glass shop / dusty enviroment. If it was removed, it was because they are taking pics.

My boat was down there for 2-3 weeks and had zero glass dust in the engine bay / carpet etc.. when I got it back. They generally tape / plastic the entire passenger compartment up.

One thing at a time........ I've never seen the trailer yet. It needs rims at a minimum, probably a third axle and a paint job also.

At this point I'll be lucky to finish the gel and interior before summer.
