. . . concerns about Rahm receiving the medical care he needs while in prison, as well as the possibility that he might be abused.

One can only hope.

Does anyone ever question why there is so much fraud or dirty business in the boating industry? Not just builders, or consignment dealers, but participants as well. What causes people to live beyond their means just to have a following or be the cool kid? I’m sure these people have to know it’s either only a matter of time till they get caught, run out of money, or people find out. I don’t see the draw to dabble in that line. Asking for a poor boy from the 909.

1) there's a lot of legit big money in this arena that draws in the scammers to take said money.
2) there's a lot of people that desire to BE the big money guys and have the super expensive toys but just can't do it legally, so they do it illegally to get what they want.

So you get it coming and going. I'd say it happens in most areas where there are nearly unobtainable assets to most that tends to draw in wealthy people. Those people are the targets or theyre surrounded by people that wish they were at the same level and will do whatever it takes to make it seem like they are. Exotic car industry is another. Same type of stuff.

Its just like people who spend the majority of their day trying to scam and take advantage of the government assistant programs (welfare, food stamps, etc...) If they went and got a job, they could make more money, but they'd rather do it this way. Maybe it's for sport? Who knows. It's a game to them.

I know scammers have been around forever. But, I don’t think social media helps. I think people spend a lot of time looking at what other people have and then they are never satisfied…so some are willing to do anything to get that status. It’s sad. But, I think a lot of these guys think they can get away with it or find another way to scam.

My cousin is a white collar crime attorney. These guys know what they are doing and once they get caught, they are already on the move to their next scam. Sometimes without serving time. They don’t burn certain bridges and that helps them stay in the same groups. There is usually a story on how they “personally” got burn as well and it got out of control.

There are businesses that operate in the grey where they just skirt regulatory laws/mandates and eventually get caught and get a fine or work under a consent decree if they were negilient. Normally if they public, and the act was grave enough they would have class action suits and or penalties or fines by regulators.

This last example is completely beyond the grey and just more agregious as they targeting a demographic that may lack complete judgement or too trusting. I hope there is a special place in hell or prison for them. When you are cut/pasting recorded conversations and charging elderly people 1000's a month for something that is a fraction there of, you are the scum of the earth.

This reminded me of CNC Motors, the exotic dealership that sold cars on consignment and scammed the sellers out of millions in 2021. Clayton Thom's bail was set at $8.7 million.

I found very little updated information on the case. This is dated 3/25/25:

Allegations against Thomas pivot on fraud. The CNC Motors narrative suggests customer complaints and potential legal action, though we find no filed lawsuits in accessible California court records under his name. This could mean settlements occurred out of court, cases remain pending, or the allegations haven’t yet crystallized into formal charges. The site’s mention of “legal/court judgments” tantalizes but lacks citations, leaving us to speculate.

Then you have this one “Hawaiian Style”. Been watching this guy for a few years in Hawaii. We were at his residence just a week before things went down. Was scheduled to be back in another 2 weeks and that never happened. So crazy to see that he was in a federal detention center in Honolulu and died from a drug overdose. Kind of Epsteinish…

Yeah I really do wish having Chris it was an option. We’re just too far and the way I lock my stuff up makes it tough.

That must be a AI article. They don’t even have his name correct and is that supposed to be a picture of him? There’s nothing of truth worth reading in there. Says nothing has crystallized…
