To make a yard like this a couple wknds to build (not yard work) and then its on automatic watering... MAYBE a day or 2, worth of time, over the next 6 months pullin weeds, but thats what kids are for. But the fruits of your labor is priceless ! I have 28 fruit trees and 3 large planting beds = 120lbs of tomatoes 60lbs of cucumbers zucchini red onions garlic carrots beets N thats just some of what I grow ..... easily saves a grand or more on my food bill. And I KNOW WHERE MY FOOD COMES FROM !

If I work full-time then I don't have the time to take care of that, if I'm retired then the kids are gone. I don't find any type of yard work relaxing, at all. Before gavin made me kill my lawn I had the greenest lawn on the block which shows that I take pride in my yard but it's not relaxing.

San Diego ... myself N family 1st, then my neighbors and if anything's left it goes to the taco shop on the corner,,,, had a $475 credit 2 yrs ago N I ate for free for a yr. They like the limes N tomatoes.

All I had to do was sit back N watch them grow ... I collect all the water off the roof into 300 gal tanks so a VERY small water bill and what I do use I get a return on my money ... unlike grass, it gets watered for Vanity.
