Holy Shit --- we've seen those and bails offshore --- we gave them a very wide berth assuming they either had trackers or were being watched by an eye in the sky. We didn't want either side chasing us down -- nope, no way, didn't see nuttin.

I just thought those were south American sea turtles on migration

A few washed up on the beach here I San Diego, 1st the lifeguards were on it then all hell broke out and 4 different agencies 50 60 people running around with their heads cut off, divers in the water, jet skies dredge just shore lol

Can you imagine the shit show that would result from Fish and Game stopping your boat to check your credentials and catch, and you're trying to explain how you just found them, were just being good Samaritans and were intending to turn them over to authorities.
Be even more fun if you were fishing in Mexican waters
