Life lessons are still lessons are they not ????
Yes, but then who would be the "teacher" of the lessons? Self taught you learn the lessons, usually the hard way, but not from being shown by others. I think that is what the quote represents. Try to help others not repeat your learning curve. Become the teacher you would have liked to have in life.

I realize we are engaged in a word play of the concept of Teaching/Taught and Learned. Yes, I understand what the Meme was implying, just as I realize what you're saying.

I believe information is presented by teachers, parents, peers, or life experiences, often associated with performing both right and wrong, or simply being the observer to the actions of others. A teacher is simply another word for one who provides information and a good teacher is one who provides it in a manner that entices your interest so you are both interested and willing to learn it.

I believe Self-Taught is an incorrect term for Self-learned as I don't believe anybody can "Teach" anybody much of anything they aren't willing to learn.

We're saying the same thing, only differently 😁;)

How would I teach something I was never taught?

LEARN

become a teacher...

I played sports as a youngster..

baseball, football, basketball..

most of my coaches were Dad's... doing the best they could..

I coached my kids in every sport ..

I learned.. Hockey, Soccer and actually learned how to instruct Hitting "Baseball"..

by educating myself to become more knowledgeable at the sport....

but.. thats just me...

What do you mean growing up...they're still great today? The best liverwurst came from Hickory Sweet near Manchester and Main in Los Angeles. We went there since the late 50's. It was burnt down in one of LA's infamous riots and the family decided not to rebuild.
