Man, that is up there! I’ve never heard of Moquah, had to look it up. I’ve only been in that neck of the woods in winter, either on sleds or to visit the ice caves by Ashland, then a drive across frozen Lake Superior to Madeline Island. Very cool!

Just west of Ashland. The corridor runs right by it, and he’s open in the winter. So if you get up this way again with sleds, check it out! We make a few trips over there with the wheelers.

Ha! I usually hit Dan's in plover. Post road, ( business 51 also)...
Dan's carries reyka brand vodka. If I am just picking up beer I will just stop at a kwik trip.
Man did Kwik Trip move up here with a vengeance. Over 20 stores in the last ten years.

What the hell is that thing??

RD
When Artie was building their house, they had to rent for awhile, the place they rented was on a very shallow lake, so to go boating, Artie built that “thing”

I wore a jacket today, I had to go look for one. Lol

I'm still just wearing a flannel. ;)
However, I am not working outside for any kind of extended time either. The longest I was out there today was to hook up a trailer. Threw on a stocking cap and got er done so i could get my ass back inside :p:p:p

If I actually had work to do out there, I'd have to find a coat.

Little more brisk over here. The lake is keeping it warmer by you I think.

I could actually deal with the cold again, and the snow. It is January, February and March that suck with no sun for months it feels like.
See, usually January is pretty decent as fas as sunshine. It does bring the brutal cold with it though. February and March usually bring the crazy snowfalls. it has to warm up to snow, and by then we're on the upward swing of daylight...
As long as the wind ain't blowin, the cold isnt bad. Anything over a 10mph breeze, and it sux bad. Lolol...

Wife's sister and hubby just moved from the horrors of CA politics (Grad's area) and living with libs to the hubby's birth state of Montana.
Her texts started off all fun and games, getting their new cabin squared away, planning some remodels, temps weren't bad ---- "Banana Belt" if I recall correctly
This past weekend temps were dropping, noticed in a pic she texted she was indoors wearing a down vest, my wife noticed chuckled out loud :D
Yesterday morning the texts started streaming out how it was 10 degrees and she had put on long undies under her house clothes, no way was she venturing outdoors.
I can't wait for this mornings texts --- apparently the heat wave is over, it's now 1 degree, I'm betting she's dressed like she's about to make the final accent at Mt Everest  :D
Banana belt is it --- flash frozen ones at that, LOL
Wife and I keep wondering just how many winter months stuck indoors until her sis kills and eats her husband, not because she's hungry, simply to satisfy her boredom and sweet revenge :eek: ;)

She's a bad bitch. Duro-Max / Surface drive combo, sets the lake on fire. View attachment 707945

That hull brings back memories of my youth --- as in the late 50's when my childhood best buddy had a green aluminum Arkansas Traveler with a 7HP merc on it we terrorized the lake with.
I thought you had to go to Thailand to find an engine setup like that, looks like fun !!

Raised in Milwaukee. Still have family around Appleton and Phillips.

I figured by your screen name from a way earlier post you must have "closed Wolskis". We oughtta get you the bumper sticker for a sig pic!:D

My daughter is a junior at UW-Milwaukee, should I have her get you one? I haven't earned the sticker, but I definitely know where it is!

That the place on Wilmont Road? There were a two converted barn houses out there when I left.
No, it is right off of 12

it's my Uncles place, he bought it a long time ago, and it was a run down barn. He has built it into a really nice home. I believe the barn is around 140 years old...most of the old timbers are exposed. We cut into the silo and they used old tractor parts to hold the concrete together, hardest concrete I've ever seen...

Also, rental car with line lock, drag mode,

...and the fx4 package. Even got waved around by a raptor LMAO

Offloading is a lot like running offshore, the faster you run, the smoother it gets!
