Looks good! Russ will be at my pad tomorrow for my much needed cut and buff on the toy hauler. I just realized the toy hauler hasn't been washed since this time last year. LOL

I removed the Graphics, and Russ did the cut / buff & polish. Turned out pretty good for a 13 year old trailer.

Curious how you got the stickers and adhesive off? Thanks!

Heat gun, puddy knife with the edges rounded off so it wouldn't scratch, wd40 / 3m adhesive remover / rubbing alcohol and hours of labor!

Since this thread is so old I wonder if Russ still charges $375 to re-coat the roof? Did he give you the price?

925 for a 38 foot trailer.

It was 525 for cut and buff with a basic roof reseal.

I wanted a complete recoat and reseal which bumped it up to 925.

He does not remove graphics anymore due to taking three to 4 days. Not enough profit.

I saw an ad on FB the other day where one of the bed liner companies was doing RV roofs...lifetime warranty, but probably pretty pricey.

There was a vendor at the sand sport super show that quoted be 4000 ish for completely new roof. Can't remember the exact number. Came with a 20 year warranty

I did a re roof on a couple rv's, 25 year or longer roof.... you can get the materials at the roofing supply in havasu...it's a base coat top coat so you can do it by yourself... came out great....I did 2 layers of the rubberized base, then 3 top coats...the base coats have a cloth that goes in , I bought a whole roll of the stuff, gonna say everything was about 4 or 500 bucks, and had a enough to do 2 rv's with left over...comes in 5 gallon buckets and goes on with a roller

Sounds like hydro stop. If it is I like that stuff. I used it on the flute roof of our home a few years back.

it's seamless rubber roof... when I did it I went right over the holes for ac and vents, then went back and cut out the holes..it was like 3/16'' rubber...

His prices have gone up quite a bit, but I'm gonna give him a shot anyway. He'll be over on Tuesday.

Bought 5 Gallons of the coating stuff and it was almost $500 for just the material a few months back.

Yeah, things have gone up in the last 4 years. I didn’t even flinch at the price, but it was almost double what was posted.

He did mine a few years ago when this thread came out. He sealed my roof and detailed my 34’ Motorhome for $500.00 . What is he charging now

Anyone still use Russ? Found his number on here to recoat the RV roof. Seems like a nice guy on the phone and going to proceed with him doing the job. Just seeing if anyone has recent experience with him. Thanks!

Need some roof work on our trailer…the header over the slide started sagging at some point…likely the 2 years or so we didn’t get out there because of CRIT Covid bullshit, and developed a leak which has saturated/rotted a couple of “rafters” and about 8 sq/ft of the OSB roof sheathing.

Tore a bit of the ceiling down and got all the wet insulation out last trip.

Probably cost more to fix than the trailer is worth.

With gas prices and the fucking heat last weekend, considering getting rid of the whole river program for a bit. Fixing shit in 120 degree heat is not a good time.

I used him but it was 5-6 years ago, did roof repair and coated it, seemed like solid work.

Yes he did. It turned out great. He showed up on time. He also fixed the problem area that was puddling water. I’ll post pictures later on today. Well worth paying someone to do it.
Got his phone number?
