Many, if not most, RC boats, planes and cars are now electric. Noise is not an issue. Might there have been something else about your RC operation he didn’t like?

Even electric RC boats make noise due to the cavitation of the prop; however, it is no where near a nitro boat in noise.

The fact that this dude saw Chris driving his RC boat with his son watching and still had the nerve to come tell him it’s annoying is insane… Yet the old timers say kids these days are entitled lol!

We were having a pizza at Papa Leone’s, and that luxe was in the channel going under the bridge. It sounded like the music was from a speaker on my table. Impressively loud, but I guess I don’t see the need for something like that.

Different strokes for different folks. It’s not for me, but I can appreciate the time, effort and $ it takes to have something at that level!

He was parked at Rotary Beach with us a couple months back and met him and had a good conversation. Seems to be a good dude who enjoys most all aspects of the boating lifestyle.

That old timer would likely have been in total panic mode had he witnessed our electric RC planes, fitted with after market floats to take off and land on the water. Particularly when we were still just getting the hang of it. My first flip occurred behind my back, while I was totally out of control of that plane. But, it drew applause from the spectators. Oh well. Good times, good hobby.

I was thinking about age and noise around boats and the river. Years back, had a place in a park up by Needles. The new owner of the park had his place right by the ramp.

Well, I'd just got the boat back together the previous night, and wanted to check some things with the throttle and carb before I docked it. Trying to plan ahead, and not clog up the single ramp, I backed down the ramp at 6am. Boat wasn't really loud, through transom exhaust at least. I do my thing, and am pretty happy. I turn around to see the owner guy at the top of his steps, coffee in hand

He smiled and nodded, I was safe! Later on in the day, heard some kids younger than me, bitchin that someone was out "too early". Of course, at 6:30am, the water is absolutely perfect...so I had to see how she felt at the top end before I tied her up

It's not just age or whatnot. It's just some people I think.

I LOVE THE CHANNEL.

Every time someone complain about the channel I laugh my ass off. So there is a place where people who want to socialize, party, play music, congregate, ect.

The channel, the sandbar, Pirates Cove, Cooper Canyon, ect. are the places I know I don't like going but because they exist the rest of the lake is quieter.

Now if I am in privatete cove, I don't know you, other coves are available, and you come in and throw an anchor 10 feet from me and blast your music you can go to hell
